As a Hydraulic Engineer, you will have a large amount of experience with a good understanding of Hydraulic Systems and schematic drawings. Location: North East

£40,000 – 45,000, 20 days holiday plus Bank Holidays, phone, fuel card, van, mobile and pension.

• Working along side engineering team as a senior engineer.
• Assist in building the companies reputation within the hydraulic field across the area.
• Provide professional onsite hydraulic repairs/services on a range of equipment.
• Work closely with engineers to assist with issues on various sites – supporting the team.
• Ensure the highest levels of HSE are met and always maintained.
• Manage vehicle to maintain stock levels, routine maintenance and documentation.

Routine maintenance and installation of hydraulic equipment & systems.

Servicing and breakdown repairs of hydraulic equipment, manufacture of new systems and machines along with cylinder refurbishments.

General engineering, maintenance, and installation of hydraulic systems

Onsite servicing works covering all aspects of hydraulic engineering

Customer liaison when on site to ensure customer needs are met to the highest standard and to follow up on further works

Take charge of own work and manage accordingly to ensure jobs are carried out in a timely fashion

Ensure that the workshop and vans are kept in order regarding tidying and stock levels

Support installation, commissioning activities, field troubleshooting and upgrade systems.

To advise customers in the routine maintenance if applicable of the equipment where required.

From time to time, provide more detailed service/technical job reports on specific product or customer issues.

To support the engineering supervisor with stock levels in the vehicles and the workshop / hose department

To ensure that all work and parts are properly recorded and service reports are completed and forwarded to relevant managers in a timely manner.

Occasional travel to customer and clients sites.

About you

Recognised Apprenticeship in Mechanical/Hydraulic discipline.

Good knowledge in the use of Microsoft Office applications.

Good knowledge of the English language, both oral and written

Experience in teamwork

Good knowledge of basic H&S regarding working with heavy machinery and Hydraulics

Knowledge of hydraulic systems, technical abilities to read & interpret drawings

Opportunity for a Mechanical Design and Development Engineer with experience of high pressure hydraulic systems to join a market leading organisation. Experience of 450 bar pressure plus is preferred.

Experience of fluid power systems, high pressure hydraulics, pump design and development is essential.

Proficiency with a 3d CAD package is essential - SolidWorks, Solid Edge or Autodesk Inventor preferred but any package is okay

Experience or understanding of FEA and CFD is beneficial

SENIOR HYDRAULIC ENGINEER - UK - 6 MONTHS - 45.87 - 59.63 PER HOUR

ARM are working with a leading consultancy and we are currently recruiting for a Hydraulic Engineer to be based in the UK on a contract basis.

About You:
You will be a degree educated Engineer with experience of Hades software and water design engineering.

What you will be doing:
This position is supporting on an increased workload for Hydraulic Engineering on water and waste water projects in the UK for a range of utility clients for the company.

We can consider a range of locations in the UK for this role as the company has offices in a range of locations. This is hybrid working with limited need to go into the office also.

What you can expect in return:
The rate guidance for this position is between 45.87 to 59.63A per hour and is dependent on experience and suitability for the role. This is Umbrella rates and the role is inside IR35.

You will need to be eligible to work in the UK for this position and we may need to undertake a DBS check for the successful candidate.
