Typically, this person will be a hands-on engineer involved in the installation, overhaul, and maintenance of hydraulic systems and components. Alongside this, there will be opportunities to work closely with senior engineers to quote, design, and plan projects providing a clear progression.
Duties and responsibilities of the Hydraulic Engineer:
- Installation, testing and commissioning of hydraulic systems li>Overhaul, maintenance, and repair of hydraulic components
- Hose registering, supply and installation
- Troubleshooting and fault-finding on hydraulic systems
- Work across office, workshop and site environments as required
- Support senior engineers to quote, design and plan engineering projects
- Assist with specifying and procuring parts and materials
- Create and contribute to risk assessments, method statements, and other project documentation
- Supervise and assist engineers during project delivery
- Liaise directly with suppliers and customers on technical matters
Qualifications and requirements for the Hydraulic Engineer:
- Experience working on hydraulic systems or strong general engineering background
- Ability to follow and develop technical drawings
- Good understanding of business operations and customer relationships
- Willingness to learn and use internal software systems for quotes, orders and invoicing
- Good IT skills (Word, Excel etc.)
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Conscientious, motivated and adaptable, with the ability to work alone or as part of a team
- Willingness to travel in the UK and overseas as required
- Full UK driving licence and valid passport

As a Hydraulic Engineer, you will have a large amount of experience with a good understanding of Hydraulic Systems and schematic drawings. £40,000 – 45,000, 20 days holiday plus Bank Holidays, phone, fuel card, van, mobile and pension.

About you
Recognised Apprenticeship in Mechanical/Hydraulic discipline.
Good knowledge in the use of Microsoft Office applications.
Good knowledge of the English language, both oral and written
Experience in teamwork
Good knowledge of basic H&S regarding working with heavy machinery and Hydraulics
Knowledge of hydraulic systems, technical abilities to read & interpret drawings

About You:
You will be a degree educated Engineer with experience of Hades software and water design engineering.

This position is supporting on an increased workload for Hydraulic Engineering on water and waste water projects in the UK for a range of utility clients for the company.
We can consider a range of locations in the UK for this role as the company has offices in a range of locations. This is hybrid working with limited need to go into the office also.
