A manufacturing company who specialises in semiconductor components for high technology products are looking to recruit a Senior Analogue IC Design Engineer to work in the company's New Product Engineering team working on the design of Analogue and Mixed signal circuits.
This is a hands-on role and candidates will need to demonstrate a good understanding of basic concepts and theories in Analog and RF design , such as mismatch, linearity, stability and noise. Experience in the design of Power Management circuits, PTAT, Bandgap, VGA, Filter, TIA, PLL, or other baseband modules in BiCMOS and/or RF-CMOS processes is also required.

Duties:
- Circuit design, implementation and verification of complete sub-systems for sub-6G IC's .

- Working with a variety of technologies including SiGe & CMOS to implement innovative high-performance IC's
- Collaboration with the test team across multi sites, you will also contribute to the development of the test plan and ASIC characterization.
- Produce detailed design documentation of all blocks developed
- Support product evaluation
Skills & Experience Required:
- Master's degree or PhD in a closely related field; or proven industrial track record
- A minimum of five years' experience of IC design
- Expertise with Cadence Virtuoso tools and version control
- Silicon experience of SiGe Bipolar and CMOS technologie s
- Successful track record of right first-time silicon
- An understanding of design for manufacture
- Working knowledge of IC layout techniques in a Cadence Virtuoso environment
- Familiarisation of ESD protection techniques

The Opportunity
CGD are looking for an experienced Analog IC Design Engineer to join the team. As part of the growing engineering team, you will be responsible for developing new GaN Power IC solutions. In this role, you will be able to develop and use your knowledge of a variety of aspects of semiconductor device development at the forefront of GaN device R&D.
This role is based at the company’s office and lab in Cambridge, UK, although it is expected that some travel will be required from time to time for this role.
Main Responsibilities
Main tasks and responsibilities:
- Design and layout of GaN power ICs using EDA tools, including schematic capture, analog simulations, chip layout, DRC, LVS, PEX, PLS
- Design and implement solutions for the testing of GaN Power ICs, conducting tests on wafer level and on packaged devices
- Detailed documentation, chip evaluation and debugging
- Develop SPICE models of GaN ICs
- Generate IP and support management team with patent applications and IP management
Requirements
Skills and Experience

- Master’s degree in a relevant engineering or science subject
- Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of analog ICs
- Skilled and experienced in the EDA design process including schematic capture, analog simulations, chip layout, DRC, LVS, PEX, PLS

Job Overview:
We are looking for IC Design Engineers to support the development and simulation of RF silicon ICs for our tunable RF front-end modules. This role is ideal for a motivated graduate or early-career engineer with a strong technical foundation who wants to build a career in RF IC design.
You will work closely with Senior IC Designers to carry out layout tasks, perform circuit and system-level simulations, and help with documentation and measurements. This is a hands-on position that provides an excellent opportunity to learn and grow in a high-paced, collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the design and layout of RF IC building blocks such as LNAs, RF switches, and digitally tunable capacitors (DTCs).
- Support simulation activities, including transistor-level, block-level, and top-level simulations using industry-standard tools.
- Set up and run verification flows (e.g., LVS, DRC, PEX) and document simulation results.
- Collaborate with senior engineers on lab measurements and post-silicon evaluation.

Requirements
