We are looking for an enthusiastic medical physicist to join our PET imaging team at King’s College London (KCL) & Guy’s and St Thomas’ (GSTT) PET Centre. The PET Centre is part of both King's College London's School of Biomedical Engineering & Imaging Sciences (BMEIS) in the Faculty of Life Sciences and Medicine, and Guy's & St Thomas' National Health Service (NHS) Foundation Trust.
We run a clinical PET service in parallel with an extensive programme of clinical research. Facilities currently include two cyclotrons, radiochemistry labs, three PET-CT scanners and a PET-MR scanner. We have recently installed two state-of-the-art Siemens Quadra Total Body PET-CT scanners. This is a very exciting time to join our team with ample opportunity to contribute to an ambitious programme developing the clinical and research capabilities of the department.
About The RoleThe purpose of this post is to provide scientific, regulatory and technical expertise to support the operation and development of the clinical and research PET scanning activities in the PET Centre, working as a member of a team of medical physicists. We hope the successful candidate will have a leading role in the technical conduct of clinical PET studies in the department, taking responsibility for the design, set up and analysis of such studies. We also hope that the successful candidate will take a leading strategic and operational role in the development and oversight of systems to archive and manage the large datasets generated by our Total Body PET scanners, so a keen interest and expertise in computing and data handling will be of benefit.
The successful candidate is expected to be a state-registered Clinical Scientist with substantial experience working as a medical physicist and ideally experience in imaging research projects. Experience of managing IT projects would be an advantage.
You should be highly motivated, able to multi-task, work well within a team, and be keen to learn. The position is in a friendly and supportive multi-disciplinary department, with plenty of opportunities for involvement in research projects.

We have an exciting vacancy in the Wohl Cellular Imaging Centre (WCIC) at King’s College London.
The WCIC is a facility for advanced light microscopy, which offers the latest state-of-the-art light microscopy and imaging to the research community and the Centre serves as a learning platform for researchers and students alike.
Our mission is to promote innovation across a broad range of biological research fields as well as develop new microscope setups and imaging techniques in response to feedback from the users of Centre.
About the roleThe purpose of the role is to support in the operations and maintenance of the Centre. This will include providing training and support to new and existing facility users. The role holder will support with equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
This is an exciting opportunity to work in a busy, multi-user imaging facility, supporting cutting-edge research. The role would suite an organised, detail orientated individual who can manage their own workload and problem solve effectively. Excellent communication skills and strong interpersonal skills are essential.
We want to implement novel AI tools for microscopy segmentation and would expect a new recruit to be capable or demonstrate experience in implementing and installing existing tools in software environments such as Napari and python as well as commercial software packages.

About youTo be successful in this role, we are looking for candidates to have the following skills and experience:
Essential criteria
- Master’s degree in life sciences or physical sciences or equivalent experience.
- Experience of advanced microscopy/imaging in a research environment, inclusive of confocal imaging.
- Strong communication skills and experience presenting information and communicating to groups.
- Excellent interpersonal, influencing and relationship management skills.
- Excellent planning & organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Knowledge of COSHH and implementing Health and Safety standards and protocols in a research setting.
- Good technical understanding of imaging equipment and ability to apply learnt techniques/skills to the work context, including a broad understanding of effective approaches to train microscope users in imaging methodologies and techniques.
- Detailed and focused approach, ability to record and manage data accurately, and in accordance with GDPR and legislation requirements.
Desirable criteria
- Experience providing training and workshops.
- Experience in image analysis and processing.
- Experience in installing software environments and novel AI tools for image segmentation

We have a very exciting opportunity for a Senior Therapy Activation Specialist (Clinical Imaging) to join our Professional Education and Medical Affairs team in the UK. This role is to providing cardiac imaging expertise in the field for our innovative Transcatheter Mitral and Tricuspid Therapies (EVOQUE system).
This role will be field based with regular travel both across the UK and in Europe as required. **Ideally you will live within commuting distance of London.**
**How you will make an impact:**
+ You will be educating and training physicians, hospital personnel and hospital staff on all aspects of technical matters related to investigational products and procedures including imaging through conducting and/or coordinating one-on-one ad hoc training sessions and in-service structured education programs on two or more therapies or one highly specialized therapy, while translating training needs, providing consultation on complex situations and proposing dynamic solutions
+ Act as a lead in providing education on all aspects on two or more therapies or one highly specialized therapy of assigned device(s), device handling, implantation and troubleshooting techniques related to equipment, tools and products required for device implants including full certification for independent case support while influencing decisions and facilitating new relationships to prepare new sites while influencing decisions and monitoring compliance in new sites
+ Act as a subject matter expert to continuously improve training curriculum, training materials and training tools, based on clinical trial experience, EW guidelines and SOP
+ Provide coaching, mentoring, and knowledge transfer to team member on launch and complex activities
+ Responsible for certification of the centers, physicians and other related staff, as well as Edwards personnel and as outlined within Edwards SOP
+ Identify potential adoption strategies
+ Fully monitor clinical support activities, changes in the market and assigned accounts, as well as, competitive activity with cross-functional teams (e.g., sales)
**What you will need:**
+ Echocardiography imaging experience
+ Bachelor's Degree in a related field
+ 5 years of previous related medical device and/or clinical experience
+ Strong knowledge in the cardiovascular field, and structural Heart Disease
+ Training experience in clinical / technical environment
+ Experience in Mitral and Tricuspid Therapies

+ Proven expertise in MS Office Suite and ability to operate general office machinery
+ Strong written and verbal communication skills, presentation, and interpersonal relationship skills including facilitating, influencing, negotiating and relationship management skills
+ Ability be adaptable and travel to new sites across the region (e.g., Europe); must have a flexible mindset
+ Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
+ Full knowledge and understanding of cardiovascular science
+ Full understanding of medical device regulatory requirements and documents, device accountability and adverse events reporting
+ Full imaging analysis software skills (e.g. 3Mensio, TomTec, Vitrea, Circle VI, etc.)
+ Echo TOE experience desirable
+ Ability to manage confidential information with discretion
