What would the Import & Export Coordinator do?

  • Working with the import of goods coming into the facility, as well as helping with the shipping out and export of finished goods to outside destinations.
  • The role is very varied, a lot going on. A lot of projects to get involved in, improving products. Fun and exciting environment. New product lines being introduced. Very fast paced role.

Essential:

Scope of Position:

Support both Forwarder and KC Shipping Team in shipping from Europe, managing bookings and creating export documentation.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

• Tracking and tracing shipments for customers

• Coordinate Conformity Inspections at our loading sites prior to export where required

• Ensure that Shipping documentation is accurate

• Provide exceptional customer service to the KC team and ensure proactivity also in our communications

• Support team priorities and initiatives to ensure workloads are effectively managed

• Ensure accurate and timely data entry into our operating system

• Send original documents when required in a timely manner

• Drive process improvements to ensure right-first-time customer service

• Meet compliance at all times to regulations. This includes internal policies and procedures such as Operational Process Standards (OPS) and external government regulations or customer’s policies / requirements

• Ensure all customers standard operating procedures are followed and updated in the Workflow

• Meet KPI standards, as per the company’s procedures

• Handling and actioning of complaints or queries

• Proposing solutions to customers of preferred method of freight movement (ocean to air, consolidation at gateways etc)

Personal Development:

• Training and tagging with team members to learn ocean process

• On the job training will be provided.

Qualifications, Experience and Education Requirements
