A Technical Support Engineer, qualified to Degree / HNC level in an Engineering discipline and with good knowledge of Control, Automation and/or Industrial Communications will join a thriving Technology Company offering excellent career development and stimulating work.
With experience of setting up and programming PLC’s to provide product support throughout Europe, you’ll support electrical products by solving technical problems, will perform fault investigations as well as delivering training / presentations.
You Skills and Experience should include:
- Degree or HNC in Engineering subject such as Electronics, Software or Electro-Mechanical.
- Experience of PLC programming.
- Knowledge of Industrial Communication Protocols.
- Technical Support experience, with good fault-finding skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.

- Ability to evaluate customer potential and target customers (penetration, attractiveness, accessibility), in order to best allocate resources, verify opportunities and build customer action/ business plan.
- Customer Application Knowledge: Ability to understand the customer’s technical and application needs, in order to promote the appropriate SE offer that meets the customer requirements.
- Consultative & Solution Business: Ability to understand all processes and behaviours from the tender up to the offer and delivery of automation services and solutions.
- Ideally, a technical background in Industrial Automation, with self-motivation and the ability to work independently and with a highly matrixed Sales and Offer Marketing Team.
- Passion for digitisation, sustainability, technology and innovation, keeping up to date with the latest market trends and customer challenges.
- Strong business acumen and excellent communication skills, with a hunger to succeed in a high-profile sales position.
