We're looking for an experienced VFX Artist who is looking for their next exciting challenge to join a passionate and growing VFX team and work on an exciting new large-scale project, crafted by a seasoned team renowned for developing exceptional shooters.
The VFX team is responsible for all visual effects developed in Rebellion's games. Not only particle effects, but screen post effects, material effects, mesh destruction effects and UI effects, developed in Rebellion's proprietary engine “Asura”.
Responsibilities
- Craft and design high-quality real-time particle effects that elevate the look and feel of the game.
- Maintain strong artistic and technical standards, making refinements to ensure effects are both polished and performant.
- Use available assets to immerse players in rich, atmospheric worlds that enhance the game’s narrative and experience.
- Draw on game design documents to understand environments, objectives, storylines, and overall style, ensuring your effects support the project vision.

- An accomplished real-time VFX portfolio that demonstrates timing, clarity, and a strong artistic eye.
- Professional experience, whether through studio roles, internships, or substantial personal projects such as game jams or mods, as well as familiarity with source control systems, will help you stand out.
- Proficiency with industry tools such as Blender, Photoshop, Substance, and After Effects (or equivalent software).
- A solid understanding of particle system fundamentals and texture creation workflows for games.
