They are looking to recruit a permanent full time Head of MIS to work on site 5 days a week initially for the first 6 months and then an hybrid working option will be available. You will be leading the college MIS, Funding, Admission & Enrolment teams and will need to have a good understanding of funding and regulations within the further and higher education sector.
Experience required:
- Strong management experience is essential
- Experience of working in a role related to information systems of preparing statistical reports
- Funding knowledge is essential
- Experience with ProSolution, Sharepoint, ProAchieve, ProMonitor, SQL Server and SQL Reporting Tools
- Previous experience in the further and higher education sector
- Confidence to motivate, inspire and support the team

The Role
The Saab Training and Simulation team are looking for an energetic and motivated team player to join their team in Wiltshire/Hampshire area as a Communication & Information Systems Technician. This Saab facility provides the technical and logistical support to a wide range of laser based training equipment used by The British Army. The Communication Sub System (CSS) and Exercise Control (Excon) equipment allows for data capture and analysis of the training. Although predominantly based in the warehouse facility, the job offers the opportunity of some travel to support other Saab sites and British Army exercises.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in planning and preparation of CSS/Excon equipment (packing, system configuration, testing).
Issue and receipt of CSS/Excon equipment.
Corrective and preventative maintenance of CSS/Excon equipment.
Technical troubleshooting including helpdesk support to field teams.
Telescopic mast work and maintenance.
Occasional in-field technical support of exercises to include set-up/tear down of CSS and Excon and through-exercise system monitoring and trouble shooting.
Instructing equipment use.
Requirement for occasional extended working hours (including some weekend work).
Experience & Qualifications
Essential
Good communication skills with the ability to interact with military and civilian staff.
Full UK driving license.
Maths and English academic qualifications (GCSE A-C grade or equivalent).
GCSE/BTEC or equivalent in ICT.
Experience within IT showing a good understanding of Windows OS, Microsoft products and networking.
Willingness to work in a military environment.
Desirable
Forklift operating license.
Previous mast work experience.

The BISO must be capable of working closely with senior management, third parties, project managers and business subject matter experts (SMEs). Additionally, the BISO must be personable , and an effective communicator with the ability to transla te cybersecurity risk into enterprise risk dialogue. The BISO must have a strong technical pedigree a nd able to understand existing and new technologies , ensur ing they meet stringent security requirements .
Key Responsibilities:
+ Provide a critical liaison role between the business unit and the security programme, significantly enhancing the level of collaboration, effective communications and alignment of goals, strategies and plans. Foster strong relationships with business unit leadership, squads, and BU teams.
+ Serve as a trusted advisor with business unit leadership , fosteringstrong relationships with each respective squads and BU teams
+ Remove ambiguity, lower complexity and manage obstacles that hinder efficiency and effectiveness of security controls
Support the CISO, Security management team, and Executive Leadership.
+ Build relevant relationships with business units and tech squads to deliver security-by-design controls incorporated into projects, architecture, infrastructure and applications . Lead the implementation of security solutions, tools, and monitoring to mitigate cybersecurity risks.
+ Openly support the CISO , S ecurity management team and Executive Leadership, even during tumultuous times and upon challenging occasions.
+ Act as an ambassador for security-wide workstreams, including GRC, security awareness, Incident Response and others, deep into the organization, aligning business units with enterprise-wide security programme.
+ S ignificantly contribute to the adoption and lead implementation of security solutions, tools and monitoring to mitigate cybersecurity risks, and maintain the confidentiality, integrity and availability of BU's information systems and data

This role is for a driven technology auditor who wants to play a role in audit execution which focuses on the review of technology processes, the analysis of risks involved, and the assessment of the design and operating effectiveness of the controls implemented to mitigate the risk. Audits may include the assessment of areas such as access management, IT operations, job scheduling/monitoring, data transfer (focusing on the completeness/accuracy of this), network security, cyber security, system development and testing, vulnerability assessment and penetration testing, and operational resilience.
Must Haves:
- Previous experience as a technology auditor covering IT application and general controls, application development, information security, technology consulting or other relevant industry experience
- Basic understanding of software development concepts and system architecture, databases, operating systems and messaging
- Proven experience and understanding in risk identification and assessment.
- Experience preparing commercially effective audit conclusions and findings, and presenting them to Internal Audit senior management and business stakeholders
- Knowledge of data analysis using Excel
- A strong interest in pursuing a long-term career in internal audit.
