Job Description
Civil Infrastructure Engineer
An established environmental and Engineering Consultancy is seeking experienced Civil Engineers, ideally at or approaching intermediate level, to support its growing portfolio of infrastructure projects. The current priority is drainage design, although experience in highways, pavements and earthwork strategy would also be valuable. The roles are based in Coleshill, and hybrid working is supported, providing flexibility in how and where work is delivered.
This Consultancy has a long-standing reputation for delivering sustainable and climate-resilient solutions. With offices across the UK, Ireland and internationally, it combines the scale to work on nationally significant projects with the independence of being employee-owned. This model allows a strong focus on innovation, technical quality and client service, alongside significant investment in staff development.
The role will involve contributing to the design and delivery of a wide range of civil and drainage engineering projects, with additional opportunities to support fluvial and highways schemes. Responsibilities include undertaking technical design work, providing guidance to more junior engineers, carrying out site-based tasks, and contributing to bid and tender preparation. Current projects range from drainage design for large-scale developments in England and Wales, through to flood storage and fluvial engineering schemes for public sector clients, and drainage strategies, SuDS design and flood defence optioneering for smaller developments.
The organisation is looking for Civil Engineers motivated by the opportunity to deliver sustainable solutions and who enjoy working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary environment. Applicants should be confident managing their workload in a dynamic setting, take ownership of challenges, and demonstrate a commitment to ongoing professional development.
An engineering degree or equivalent qualification is expected, along with direct experience of delivering technical design projects, proficiency with drainage modelling software such as MicroDrainage or InfoDrainage, and knowledge of detailed SuDS and adoptable drainage network design. A sound understanding of safety in design, CDM responsibilities and sustainable approaches is essential.
Experience of the Specification for Highway Works and familiarity with Civil 3D, AutoCAD or earthworks modelling packages would be an advantage.
This is an excellent opportunity for ambitious Civil Engineers to further their careers within a supportive, employee-owned consultancy that places sustainability and climate resilience at the centre of its work.
