Our customer, a leading law firm is seeking a Planning Lawyer for a 6-month contract role, seconded to a major infrastructure client. The role will focus on supporting the planning and consenting stages of nationally significant infrastructure projects.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide legal advice on planning and consenting matters relating to the development of large-scale infrastructure projects.
- Support the preparation, submission, and examination of Development Consent Orders (DCOs).
- Advise on planning policy, environmental impact assessments, and stakeholder engagement during the pre-application and examination phases.
- Work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to facilitate the successful progression of infrastructure projects through the planning system.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
- Qualified solicitor or equivalent with demonstrable experience in planning law.
- Direct experience with DCO processes and/or supporting the delivery of major infrastructure projects.
- Strong understanding of relevant planning legislation and regulatory frameworks.
- Excellent drafting, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, project-driven environment.

Our Streets Team have a vacancy in our central Manchester office for an **Associate Director** with relevant experience in leading the delivery of a broad range of traffic and highway engineering projects and being responsible for work winning activities. The successful candidate will share our ethos of developing impactful design solutions and delivering high levels of service to assist with the growth of our Manchester and Northern Streets business by enhancing existing and developing new client relationships.
The Streets team provide feasibility, concept, preliminary and detailed design, community engagement, project delivery and construction management services on a wide range of multi-discipline transportation and urban realm projects. You will be joining a strong team who are recognised as market leaders in the transportation sector including in active travel, public transport, bus priority and general traffic engineering.
