Key Responsibilities:
- Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC systems, including boilers, air conditioning units, and ventilation systems.
- Conduct electrical installations and maintenance, including lighting, power distribution, and control systems.
- Undertake plumbing and pipefitting tasks, including repair and replacement of water systems and fixtures.
- Service and test fire detection and suppression systems, emergency lighting, and security systems.
- Diagnose faults and malfunctions in building services equipment and systems.
- Implement preventative maintenance schedules to minimize system failures and downtime.
- Respond to emergency repair calls promptly and efficiently.
- Ensure all work complies with current building regulations, health and safety legislation, and company standards.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections using digital platforms.
- Liaise with clients and building managers to report on work status and provide technical advice.
- Supervise and guide junior technicians when required.
- Manage stock levels of spare parts and consumables for assigned equipment.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Recognized qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Plumbing, or a related trade discipline.
- Significant experience (5+ years) in installation and maintenance of building services within a commercial or industrial environment.
- Proven expertise across multiple disciplines: HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire safety systems.
- Strong understanding of building codes, health and safety regulations (e.g., RIDDOR, COSHH).
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
- Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Valid UK driving license is essential.
- CSCS/ECS card or equivalent certification is highly desirable.
- Experience with BMS (Building Management Systems) is an advantage.
