Key Responsibilities:
- Define and execute the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for a portfolio of insurance products, aligning with overall business objectives.
- Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and customer segmentation to identify unmet needs and opportunities.
- Translate customer insights and business requirements into detailed product specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Work closely with engineering, design, marketing, sales, and operations teams throughout the product development lifecycle.
- Prioritise the product backlog, manage sprint planning, and ensure timely delivery of high-quality features and enhancements.
- Define and track key product metrics (KPIs) to measure product performance, customer satisfaction, and business impact.
- Lead go-to-market strategies, including product positioning, messaging, and launch plans.
- Continuously iterate on products based on user feedback, data analysis, and market trends.
- Act as a subject matter expert on insurance products and the competitive landscape.
- Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders, including underwriting, claims, legal, and compliance teams.
- Champion a data-driven approach to product decision-making.
- Mentor junior product managers and contribute to the growth of the product management practice.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies and trends in insurtech and the broader financial services industry.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, or a related field; MBA or relevant Master's degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in product management, with a significant focus on digital products within the insurance or financial services sector.
- Proven experience in defining product strategy, roadmapping, and launching successful products from conception to market.
- Deep understanding of insurance products, regulations, and the evolving insurtech landscape.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills.
- Strong understanding of agile development methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with user research, usability testing, and data analysis tools.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, remote, and entrepreneurial environment.
- Passion for innovation and customer advocacy.

Mentor and develop junior team members, fostering a culture of learning and high performance while providing guidance on career progression.

Expertise in designing and integrating solutions across various technology domains, including cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure), data management, APIs, microservices, and security.
Analyse and define solution options and broker buy-in, gather consensus and drive decision making from business and IT stakeholders.
Work and collaborate with third party vendors for designing solutions and ability to manage vendor relationships.
Support clients with identification of leading vendors for package solutions, defining RFI/RFP frameworks across Underwriting, Policy Administration and Claims.
Assessment of existing application estate and provide remediations including definition of technology roadmap underpinned by overall technology vision.
Strong knowledge of software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, DevOps) and experience working with both on-premises and cloud-based infrastructure.
Preferably you will also have:
Experience in implementing AI-driven solution within the general insurance lifecycle (e.g., claims automation, fraud detection, risk assessment, etc.) is highly desirable.
