**In your role you will,**
+ The role is intended as an Interior Specialist role, but fall under the job category of Mechanic
+ Adhere to Bombardier General Work Requirements for factory, shop and/or hanger positions
+ Comply with environmental health and safety policies / procedures.
+ Participate in 5-S activities.
+ Perform work in a safe and timely manner
+ Fabricate, install and refurbish aircraft interior equipment and furnishings per work order or customer request
+ Complete customer requests that include items such as carpeting and upholstery on seats, card tables, side panels, glare shield, aircraft cabinets, card tables and side panels
+ Perform and document all work performed per appropriate manuals and regulations as required
+ Perform assigned duties as assigned
+ May assist with maintenance at off-site locations
+ May clean aircraft as required
+ May assist with other maintenance disciplines
**As our ideal candidate**
+ You typically have 5+ years of interiors experience (i.e. previous wood finish and soft goods experience (i.e., auto, RV, boat, etc)
+ You have the ability to demonstrate mechanical aptitude
+ You have the ability to interpret and work with mechanical engineering drawings
+ You have basic PC skills
+ You have the ability to communicate in both written and verbal form on individual and / or aircraft status

This pivotal role will operate in a hybrid capacity out of one of our offices near Leamington or Bicester where the successful candidate will have the opportunity to work alongside some of the most visionary minds in the automotive field.

The Opportunity:
You will have the chance to work on various projects from our programs. The Interiors design engineer will be expected to work with the Interiors engineering team, the Design team and cross functional teams. The role will be to develop interior trim components and systems along with the project engineers. You will be required to design the various parts that make up an interior, which could be plastic, metal, soft or hard trimmed.
You will require a good knowledge and understanding of structural bodies, load paths and joining for low to high volume production.
What you’ll do:
- Be able to create assembly drawings as well as detail drawings.
- Have a good eye for detail and the ability to work at the highest level of engineering and take full responsibility for your output.
- Be able to solid model and surface to a high standard using Catia V5.
- Be able to work with minimal supervision to deliver on time your area of design and work with the senior and lead engineers to design lightweight and stiffest structures to targets that are set.
- Have a good lateral thinking approach to problem solving and design.
- Be fully trained in Geometrical dimensioning and tolerancing.
Who you are:
- The interiors design engineer must have previous experience designing in the automotive industry. Other industries will be considered depending upon the applicant.
- Previous experience using Catia V5 and preferably 3DX and be able to create drawings to standards BS888 and or ASME Y14.
- Experience and knowledge of injection moulding, compression forming, back injection and trimming would be beneficial
- Knowledge interior trim joining techniques and methodologies.
- A ‘can do’ attitude and are always focused on achieving great results.

Our client, a long-established contractor specialising in mechanical, electrical, and interior fit-out solutions, is currently looking to appoint an experienced Interiors Project Manager to join their growing team based near Heathrow Airport. This role offers the opportunity to lead fast-paced, high-spec projects across the aviation and commercial sectors, with contract values ranging from £20k up to £700k.
The Opportunity:
This is a hands-on project management role, ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-moving environment and is comfortable managing multiple workstreams at once. You’ll be responsible for end-to-end delivery of interior refurbishment and maintenance works—planning, coordinating, and driving progress to meet both time and budget expectations. Projects are typically airside or within live environments, so attention to detail, professionalism, and strong communication skills are key.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and deliver multiple interior fit-out projects from inception to completion
- Work closely with the Construction Director and site teams to maintain standards and timelines
- Liaise with clients, suppliers, subcontractors, and other key stakeholders
- Track project budgets, manage risks, and ensure health & safety compliance
- Maintain up-to-date project documentation and schedules
- Problem-solve technical challenges and site-based issues as they arise
Ideal Background:
- Proven experience managing interior or fit-out works (Cat A & B experience preferred)
- A background in construction trades such as carpentry, drylining, or general building is desirable
- Familiarity with M&E integration and coordination is advantageous
- Proficient in Microsoft Project and general project management tools
- Strong leadership and organisational skills, with a proactive mindset
- Excellent verbal and written communication
