Key Responsibilities

Our client is one of the world's largest independent investment management firms that serves an institutional client base in over 60 countries.

This client is looking to hire a lawyer on an interim basis initially for 6 months (but this may well be rolled on) to join their EMEA Legal team based out of London.


What will the role involve?

  • Support the review and negotiation of agreements and legal documents with clients (e.g. investment management agreements (IMAs)) and business partners (e.g. distribution agreements);
  • Advise on licensing and client regulatory issues across EMEA jurisdictions in coordination with Compliance;
  • Monitor regulatory developments and assess their impact on business operations;
  • Work closely with other members of the Global Legal team and with Compliance, Business, and Operations teams.


What skill-sets are we looking for?

  • A qualified lawyer with 2–4 years’ PQE ;
  • Solid experience in IMA contract review and negotiation;
  • Experience with cross-border legal issues ;
  • Basic understanding of financial services regulation, particularly in relation to asset management or investment advisory.


What softer skill sets are we looking for?

  • Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills;
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong commercial acumen and collaboration skills.


Our client provides a collegiate, stable and supportive environment in which to work.
