We are seeking a Software Quality Assurance Tester who will be responsible for planning, developing and executing test scenarios to ensure the readiness and usability of Android and the wider mobile ecosystem according to client's requirements. You will also help develop testing programs to address areas such as regressions, scripted testing and documentation of software defects and reporting these back to the Development Team and wider client teams.
You will closely work with the client's software development teams across several Android projects, from mobile to API and user experience testing. A successful candidate will have an eye for detail, an ability to identify correlations between defects, excellent organization and communication skills, a technical understanding of software and the various levels of technical proficiency of its users and how it can be improved. We are also looking for someone who is eager to learn and broaden their skill set.
**Required Experience, Skills & Knowledge:**
+ Extensive knowledge of Android and the wider mobile ecosystem
+ Experience using Google productivity software (e.g. Docs/Sheets/etc.) at an advanced level
+ Proficiency with Android debugging tools, such as Android Debug Bridge (adb) and other command-line tools
+ Able to carry out varying styles of testing methods including; scripted, exploratory, smoke, regression and ad-hoc, applying the correct style to any given scenario
+ Flexibility to handle different tasks, as it is a highly demanding role where urgent requests are required to be handled with integrity and in a timely manner
+ Experience working on-site with an external client
+ Impeccable attention to detail
+ Superb written and verbal communication skills
**Accountabilities:**
+ Share in the ownership of the end-to-end delivery of testing services to the client
+ Maintain user acceptance test scripts, use cases and identify automatable tests
+ Manage day-to-day reporting for client projects
+ Finish product testing at standard set and within the time frame assigned by the team manager
+ Offer expert advice to the client's engineering team regarding the operating system, mobile applications and devices
+ Maintain integrity and confidentiality through well-managed techniques, systems and commercial awareness
+ Ensure work delivered to the client is always 100% accurate and within industry standards, client requirements and Conduent best practices
+ Communicate effectively with the client on project actions and their progress, managing their expectations and assumptions

About the roleRecite Me is seeking a Software QA Tester to assess software quality through quality testing. This role will support the QA Head of Testing in testing activities, and the candidate should be ready to hit the ground running. You will be involved in manual testing primarily, pre-release and post release and writing test criteria to help guide our product feature specifications pre-code. We will look to you to write tests and guidelines for products in our portfolio, as well as giving feedback on potential UX and usability improvements or considerations.
You will lead manual testing efforts and provide valuable insights to ensure product quality. While manual testing will be your primary focus, you may also have the opportunity to work on our automation initiatives by contributing to test cases and assisting in automation planning
You will also keep on top of a portfolio of rapidly evolving products at different stages of maturity,
and providing feedback to help continuous improvement across the whole development process.
Requirements
Tasks, Duties & Responsibilities1. Participate in the planning, design, and execution of manual test cases across web and mobile
2. Work closely with the Head of Testing to support in preparing the test plans, creating & executing the test cases, monitoring bugs, re-testing bug fixes.
3. Make sure User Stories have well-documented User Acceptance Criteria by working alongside product owner/designers whenever required.
4. Plan and coordinate all cycles of testing, including functional-level system tests, business scenario-based testing, to ensure proper test coverage while mitigating redundancy where possible.
5. Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
6. Good knowledge of the test process (Analysing the requirements, writing the UACs, test cases, get test cases reviewed by Dev lead).
7. Experience in logging test cases/defects into Jira using Zephyr.
8. Ready to take up new challenges that may arise.
9. Good Analytical skills.
10. Intermediate level of proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word & PowerPoint).
11. Execute all levels of testing (Sanity/Regression/Functional/Exploratory Testing).
12. Participate in release meetings, post-live testing and quality signoffs.
13. Validate application behavior against business requirements and acceptance criteria
About YouThe successful candidate will be extremely creative, we will look to you to write tests and guidelines for products in our portfolio, as well as giving feedback on potential UX and usability improvements or considerations. You will keep on top of a portfolio of rapidly evolving products at different stages of maturity and providing feedback to help continuous improvement across the whole development process by following different testing process in both Waterfall and Agile methodology.
