Associate Director- Technology Consulting Food & Drink
Campden BRI support food & drink manufacturers and retailers with all of their training, technical advice and consultancy needs. You will work with our brilliant & UK leading technical experts across Product Innovation, Process Innovation, Training, Sensory & Consumer Science, Global Food Safety & Regulatory to ensure an excellent consulting service to our clients that adds value to the food and drink supply chain.
You'll sit as part of our leadership team to work closely with all business units to deliver a great client experience and retain clients by growing our relationships and supporting their aims. Delivering a service that is sustainably profitable for Campden BRI overall.
Collaborate with analysis and testing to build and evolve a cohesive client proposition that supports the needs of the food and drink supply chain.
Lead change and be an advocate across the business to improve client service, operational delivery, and process efficiency. Work with sales and other scientists across the business, to build and maintain an effective pipeline of profitable work for Consulting. Actively seek opportunities for cross-sell into other business units to further support clients and build long lasting solutions to issues and opportunities.

Requirements
- Experience and passion for client centricity
- Technical and consulting experience within the food and drink supply chain
- Degree in relevant science or technology-based subject (Chemical Engineering, Food Science/Technology or similar)
- Direct leadership experience within a food and drink company
- Successfully owned a P&L
- Strong commercial acumen and a strong track record of delivering within a consultancy environment
- Deep understanding of client issues across the food and drink supply chain in product safety, quality, assurance, innovation / reformulation, and process improvement
- Specialism in at least one area of product safety/quality, innovation/reformulation, regulatory or thermal / non-thermal processing
- Engaging people leader with the ability to align and engage teams across the business
- Deep financial understanding, particularly investment-based business cases
- Wider business leadership, particularly leadership team experience
- Strong relationship building skills both externally and internally

What We’re Looking For
If you have the technical expertise and the drive to develop a successful water engineering consultancy practice, we want to hear from you. Ideally, you will have:
- < i>Experience in growing a consultancy business—or a strong appetite to do so. < i>A Bachelor’s degree in General, Civil, or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent experience). < i>Background in one or more of the following areas:
- Pipeline engineering (preferably in the water sector)
