**AECOM** is seeking a **Sourcing Specialist** to join our **Global Procurement** team to work across geographical boundaries supporting different categories of indirect spend. Weu2019re looking for someone who has experience of procuring services and driving change in a decentralized organization where procurementu2019s influence is growing. The role will require the successful candidate to embrace a data driven approach to procurement and will suit someone who is a results-orientated self-starter, with a strategic mindset to think outside the box and consider different sourcing strategies based on the needs of that spend area and the geographies in scope. The person will enjoy working in teams comprising people from different countries and diverse backgrounds.
**Key responsibilities of the role:**
Supporting AECOMu2019s Think & Act Global strategy, work across different categories of spend to develop new category sourcing strategies across multiple countries/regions
Identify new opportunities for cost savings and consider appropriate sourcing strategies ranging from renegotiation of an existing contract to full RFP.
Using a data driven approach, analyze demand and supply, identifying opportunities to better leverage common spend across geographies via alternative supply approaches
Lead the delivery of approved strategic sourcing projects across multiple countries, management of the Rfx process (RFI/RFQ/RFP) and taking accountability to implement contracts that achieve cost savings and improve quality and service levels
Plan commercial outcomes at the onset of any sourcing project to secure value from the work delivered. This will includes identifying current baseline and forecast spend, devising an appropriate sourcing strategy that balances commercial leverage, time and effort, and having a clear understanding of targeted cost savings from price reductions and/or rebates, areas of cost avoidance, and efficiency gains from process improvements.
Identify key stakeholders and develop strategic partnerships with key groups across AECOMu2019s global business, establishing Strategic Sourcing as a trusted advisor.
Utilize procurement technology and data to improve efficiency across the sourcing process, ensuring quality of service to AECOM stakeholders
Support wider AECOM stakeholders with supplier relationship management for strategic suppliers, including the use of key performance indicators and escalation of performance issues where necessary, to maintain value post contract and help to realise forecast cost savings.
Where necessary as part of a strategic sourcing project, work with AECOM Source-to-Pay u2018process ownersu2019 to consider end to end buy- channel processes with a view to improving efficiencies with our supplier base. E.g. considering purchase order compliance and adoption, workflow and approvals, and payment timescales.
Support the development and capability of the Global Procurement team by demonstrating high standard of delivery and sharing best practice.
**Qualifications**
BA/BS plus at least 6 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
Strong grasp of core strategic sourcing skills including data analysis & opportunity assessment, defining requirements, Rfx/tender creating & management, negotiation, contract drafting
Commercial competence, with an awareness of differing types of cost savings and experience of working across different categories of indirect spend.
Track record of demonstrable cost savings, derived from a mix of experience leading both strategic sourcing initiatives and tactical cost reduction activities.
Ability to engage with global stakeholders and build rapport and project buy-in.
Strong interpersonal/influencing skills, including an awareness of regional and cultural differences.
