**What will you do?**
**Identify customer solutions**
+ Use knowledge and experience to troubleshoot operational and maintenance problems on steam turbines, reciprocating compressors and gearboxes as efficiently as possible.
+ Review site operational data, and data recorded using remote monitoring, to enable the creation of operational assessment reports as per the requirements of the Customer Care Agreements (CCA's).
+ Correctly record all technical queries and communications to allow all departments to review the current situation and the answers provided to the Customers.
+ Providing review and recommendations on findings in Field Service Engineer reports.
**Growing the business**
+ Review technical query trends and review the possibility of implementing new designs, procedures, or processes.
+ Identifies and define opportunities for development of products and services provided by the company.
+ Be a problem solver, and not afraid to use new ideas / initiatives and challenge our processes.
+ Preparation of Technical Service Bulletins for use both externally and internally.
+ Provide content to allow others to deliver customer training as and when required by the business.
+ Organise and support other resources that will provide training services.
**Delivery of Customer Solutions**
+ Ensure a swift technical response to all customer queries and follow the technical support process and guidelines.
+ Provide a strong link between Customer Services and Engineering
+ The technical support engineer is responsible for liaising with engineering and also with providing direct answers to customers based on their own knowledge and skill set.
+ Liaise with other areas of the business to ensure we can meet customer requirements and to resolve issues that may prevent us from meeting our customers' expectations.
+ Strong team player and talented person to create relationships with their contacts.
+ Carry out any other reasonable request for a company or department level initiative or task as may be required from time to time.
**What do you bring?**
An ideal candidate would likely have the following profile:
+ Relevant qualifications in Engineering, minimum HNC.
+ Experience in the oil, gas, petrochemical, or power generation industries essential.
+ Experience working in an Aftermarket role, providing technical support services both internally and externally.
+ At least 3 years or equivalent experience in a similar role.
+ Strong technical knowledge of Rotating Equipment, Reciprocating Compressors & Steam Turbines.
+ Good understanding of the components and systems used in the operation of Rotating
+ Equipment, Reciprocating Compressors & Steam Turbines.
+ Knowledge of quality management systems.
+ Knowledge of relevant industry HSE practices and requirements.
+ Computer literate, organised, has the ability to stay focussed to complete complex tasks.
+ Good with detail and able to see tasks through to completion swiftly and effectively
+ Capable to respond effectively in a crisis situation.
+ Excellent written, telephone and face-to-face communication skills.

**Travel**

Based primarily at our customer's site near Huntingdon Cambridgeshire you will be providing network changes and upgrades as part of the programme's Normal Change Team, owning and leading on a variety of change tasks and projects.
The preferred candidate will have a range of knowledge and experience in the administration of a service based on Cisco products, be an expert on Network topology and a desire to learn (if required) additional complementary technologies.
The Normal Change Network Engineer will work alone and / or as part of a team depending on the size and complexity of the change task to deliver network changes in a demanding environment.
**YOUR ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:**
Thorough and demonstrable understanding of Cisco Enterprise LAN environments, 3rd line support level including, deployment, administration and troubleshooting. Ideally to a CCNP and CCDP level.
Focusing on Secure LAN environments including security boundaries and rulesets
Must have a good understanding of WAN connectivity and routing protocols also with experience and understanding of the implementation, configuration and management of virtual and physical networking solutions
Hand on experience in troubleshooting Layer 2/3 switching and routing,
Hands on experience in configuring and troubleshooting HSRP, VPC, VDC, STP, BGP, OSPF and other key mainstream protocols
Hands on experience in configuring and troubleshooting Sidewinders and ASAv firewalls
Platform focus: Cisco Nexus 9300 series and Catalyst switches
Excellent communications skills, organisational skills and independent and autonomous working
Have the ability to tackle complex problems and incidents
Experience in ITIL ICT service delivery on critical infrastructure

**Network Engineer**
**Security Clearance Required - DV ('Developed Vetting')**
**Location: 80% On-Site to Huntingdon, UK**
**UNLEASH YOUR POTENTIAL**
Based primarily at our customer's site near Huntingdon Cambridgeshire you will be providing network changes and upgrades as part of the programme's Normal Change Team, owning and leading on a variety of change tasks and projects.
The preferred candidate will have a range of knowledge and experience in the administration of a service based on Cisco products, be an expert on Network topology and a desire to learn (if required) additional complementary technologies.
The Normal Change Network Engineer will work alone and / or as part of a team depending on the size and complexity of the change task to deliver network changes in a demanding environment.
**YOUR ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:**
Thorough and demonstrable understanding of Cisco Enterprise LAN environments, 3rd line support level including, deployment, administration and troubleshooting. Ideally to a CCNP and CCDP level.
Focusing on Secure LAN environments including security boundaries and rulesets
Must have a good understanding of WAN connectivity and routing protocols also with experience and understanding of the implementation, configuration and management of virtual and physical networking solutions
Hand on experience in troubleshooting Layer 2/3 switching and routing,
Hands on experience in configuring and troubleshooting HSRP, VPC, VDC, STP, BGP, OSPF and other key mainstream protocols
Hands on experience in configuring and troubleshooting Sidewinders and ASAv firewalls
Platform focus: Cisco Nexus 9300 series and Catalyst switches
Excellent communications skills, organisational skills and independent and autonomous working
Have the ability to tackle complex problems and incidents
Experience in ITIL ICT service delivery on critical infrastructure
Experience of working under pressure to meet deadlines while handling multiple priorities
Experiencing in patch management including analysis and deployment
YOU MIGHT ALSO HAVE:
Hands on experience in configuring and troubleshooting of MPLS networks
Hands on experience in configuring and troubleshooting Palo Alto, ASAv and Juniper Firewalls
Thorough and demonstrable understanding of Juniper Enterprise LAN environments, to both design and 3rd line support level including, deployment, administration and troubleshooting. Ideally to a JNCIP level.;
* Have experience of working in security cleared environments/working in Defence;
* Have excellent analysis and problem solving skills, taking ownership of complex incidents ensuring these are resolved to the satisfaction of the customer;
* Strong focus on delivering value to customers;
* Possess excellent communication skills, ideally able to communicate technical issues to less technical staff and managers;
* Have experience in providing support to others, including Service Desk Analysts and Second Line Engineers;
* Proactive working attitude;
* Have experience of producing and updating technical documentation to a high standard;
Occasional travel to other Leidos and customer sites may be required. Keeping an eye on the technology landscape is essential, too - identification of new and relevant technologies to solve problems and make improvements is part of the job.
