Well established automotive engineering firm requires an experienced Automotive Electronics Repair Engineer. You will be responsible for the remanufacture and testing of a wide range of automotive electrical and electronic components. This role involves fault finding, component-level repair, and ensuring all work is carried out to the highest quality standards.
Technical Skills & Knowledge
- Proven experience in electronic fault finding to component level.
- Knowledge of PCB rework methods (soldering, reflow, and repair techniques).
- Ability to read and interpret electronic circuits and schematic drawings.
- Strong attention to detail with effective problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with QHSE legislation and best practices.
- Competent in the use of MS Office applications (particularly Excel), or willingness to develop proficiency.
Personal Attributes
- Good communication skills with the ability to work within a team environment.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and work under pressure.
- Willingness to follow instructions, adhere to procedures, and learn new skills.
- Positive attitude towards work, colleagues, and company objectives.
Qualifications (Preferred but not essential)
- Recognised qualification in Electronics or Electrical Engineering (e.g., HNC/HND, NVQ, or equivalent).
- Previous experience within automotive, defence, or related industries.
The role will suit individuals currently working as Automotive Electronics Repair Engineer, Remanufacturing Engineer, Electronic Engineer, Remanufacturing Electrical Technician, Automotive Electrics Engineer, Repair Engineer, Bench Engineer and be living within a commutable distance of Coventry or be willing to relocate.
