The post is located within Care First – Pheasey, Walsall area. You will be joining a new clinical team to facilitate MDT working, consisting of Speech and Language Therapy and Occupational Therapy. The clinical team is embedded into the structure of the provision which enables positive and effective multi-disciplinary working across the education services, in order to maximise clinical outcomes for the adults. The role:
We are looking for a Lead Clinician to manage our in-house Clinical Team at Norton College - Worcester. The postholder will work collaboratively with both the school’s Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and the Regional Clinical Lead. The role will be split between clinically leading the team and holding a therapy caseload. Working collaboratively with the team, the postholder will deliver bespoke assessment and intervention plans for our students who may present with complex profiles of need as a result of autism and other types of neurodivergence, developmental trauma and social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs. The role:
We are looking for a Lead Clinician to manage our in-house Clinical Team at Norton College - Worcester. The postholder will work collaboratively with both the school’s Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and the Regional Clinical Lead. The role will be split between clinically leading the team and holding a therapy caseload. Working collaboratively with the team, the postholder will deliver bespoke assessment and intervention plans for our students who may present with complex profiles of need as a result of autism and other types of neurodivergence, developmental trauma and social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs. Meeting the needs of EHCP plans will be a primary focus in this role, target led, via the OFG ‘all’, ‘group’ and ‘individual’ clinical ways of working, embedded into our clinical practice. They will also be responsible for coordinating the line management of the members of the onsite clinical team and leading on the service development of the clinical school-based service, alongside the school SLT and Regional Clinical Lead.

Essential Criteria:
- Allied health professional qualification or Psychotherapy/Clinical Psychology/Counselling Qualification
- Valid and up to date professional Registration & membership of professional body e.g. BPS
- Experience within the specialist client group; working with autistic individuals and/or those with complex needs.
- Clear and concise report writing relating to clinical and research activities
- Experience of providing supervision and supporting a therapy team
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to work dynamically and within a growing and developing clinical service
- Experience of multi-professional work with teams or services within the designated specialty preferred

Job Title: Lead Teacher - Secondary Nurture and Communication (Maternity Cover)

Salary: Up to £45,000 per annum (depending on experience)
Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Contract: Fixed-Term, Term Time Only

About the Role
Are you a passionate and experienced educator ready to take the lead in shaping inclusive, person-centred education? We are seeking a Lead Teacher to join Lamledge School on a fixed-term maternity cover basis, leading our Secondary Nurture and Communication & Interaction provision.
This is a unique opportunity to guide a specialist curriculum for pupils in Key Stages 3 and 4 with a range of complex needs, including:
- Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH)
- Communication and Interaction (C&I)
- Sensory and Physical (S&P)
- Cognition and Learning (C&L)
Job Responsibilities
As Lead Teacher, you will:
- Drive the development and delivery of a high-quality, inclusive Nurture and Communication & Interaction curriculum
- Plan and implement flexible, person-centred programmes of study that meet the individual needs of pupils
- Champion excellence in teaching and learning, modelling best practices and high expectations
- Lead the planning and coordination of schemes of work within your area, ensuring coherence and progression
- Mentor and support colleagues in their professional development, especially in curriculum planning, assessment, and target setting
- Stay up to date with local and national curriculum developments to ensure innovation and relevance
- Work collaboratively with the Head Teacher, Deputy Head Teacher, wider leadership team, and external stakeholders to secure high standards across the school
We’re looking for someone with:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Proven experience of teaching pupils with complex additional needs
- Strong knowledge of curriculum planning, particularly in nurture-based and communication-focused approaches
- Experience in a leadership or coordination role within an educational setting
- Excellent interpersonal and mentoring skills
- A proactive, reflective, and collaborative approach

Lamledge School provides specialist education to pupils with social, emotional and behaviour difficulties. We are within a commutable distance of Telford, Dudley, Stourbridge, Shrewsbury, Stone, Walsall, Wolverhampton and surrounding towns. We are looking to expand our staff team and we hope that we can find the perfect person to join the Lamledge team.
We are a small school on the outskirts of Shifnal with stunning grounds and rolling countryside surrounding us. Our staff are dedicated to delivering education in a therapeutic and trauma informed way.
