FAIRs inspector
DCS engineering are currently recruiting a detail oriented, methodical FAIR inspector on behalf of our market leading subcontract aerospace client. You will have excellent computer / Microsoft literacy skills and experience of manufacturing and exposure to detailed engineering drawings.
About the opportunity
As the first article inspection report (FAIR) inspector you will play an integral part in:
- Following a detailed process manual to prepare the files and folder structure for FAIRs.
- Submitting the FAIR to clients or uploading to a client portal.
- Work closely with the management team to ensure client requirements are met on time.
- Maintain a suite of KPIs to track the performance of the FAIR process.
You will develop on existing knowledge and experience, keeping up to date with the best practice and participate in internal and external training. You will also work closely with the quality departments from other companies within the group, clients and suppliers as part of the wider aerospace supply chain.
Preferred Skills
- Aerospace / other highly regulated industry experience in a FAIR collation / Submission role.
- A good understanding of manufacturing processes (preferably aerospace sheet metal or assembly).
- Proven ability to read and understand aerospace sheet metal / assembly drawings and the related tolerances.
- Experience of manual inspection and the measuring of parts.
- Expertise in:
- FAIR Collation (typically to AS9102)
- FAIR review / Approval.
- FAIR submission (via Net-Inspect / other).
- Demonstrated evidence of FAIR experience.
- Excellent PC / Microsoft suite (word/excel/nuance etc) Skills.

About the role
We are looking for a passionate and skilled Marketing Executive to work on the art & design portfolio (London Art Fair & New Designers). As a Marketing Executive you’ll be organised and creative with content and have the ability to support our Senior Marketing Executive and Marketing Manager to plan and deliver first-class multi-channel marketing campaigns to attract the right quality and quantity of visitors and to achieve maximum revenue.
As a Marketing Executive, you will;
- Work with the marketing team on the creation, development and implementation of the marketing plan to achieve objectives relating to visitor attendance and revenue targets
- Understand the objectives and timescales for the event and work to those deadlines
- Assist in the production of targeted and effective marketing materials based on a specific cohort and content strategy for each event
- Maintain the events social media posting schedule, producing reels that align to the events video-first content strategy, managing the social community responses, and reporting what is working to help grow the channels
- Help maintain day-to-day relationships with relevant agencies and suppliers including; creative, ticketing, print and media buying, and PR
- Manage email marketing using the Adestra platform, delivering segmented campaigns in line with the cohort/content strategy with well written and engaging copy
- Support with the delivery of event features (e.g. exhibits, demos and other relevant content) as required
- Ensure each event website is kept fully up to date with relevant content and consistent tone of voice in line with offline promotional material
- Liaise directly with exhibitors to ensure they are apprised of relevant marketing activity and that maximising marketing opportunities pre, during and post-event
- Support the delivery of all sponsorship sales material and sponsorship deliverables
- Network within the industry to gain contacts, build industry knowledge and understand how we maintain a competitive edge in attracting audiences across each event.
- Customer service – managing and responding to enquires within each show’s email inbox / social media mailbox
Requirements
- Ability to think creatively
- Able to work effectively within a team to deliver against agreed campaign objectives, as well as independently as needed
- Organised, with good time management
- Experience in basic website management and experience in digital/social marketing tools and campaigns
- Experience in video editing for social media
- Effective interpersonal skills, with the ability to understand a brief and deliver against it
- Good attention to detail and an eye for good design
- Willing to learn, adapt and grow within a role

- Great written and verbal communication skills
- Up to date with the latest trends and best practices in marketing and measurement
- Natural networker
- Strong IT skills (Word, Excel, Outlook)
