The Senior ITO Construction SME (M&E) supports the ITO Construction Leader by providing subject matter expertise in construction methods, sequencing and practical field constraints.
This role contributes directly to the success of the tendering process by ensuring technical robustness, realism and constructability in bid submissions.
You will bring hand's on experience from project delivery to influence construction execution strategies, resource estimation and interface planning.
You will also play a vital role in capturing lessons learned and embedding best practices into front end planning, to ensure that the constriction operations can meet the company SQDC (Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost) objectives.
**Job Description**
Main tasks are the following:
**Scope During ITO**
+ Contribution construction expertise in the domain of M&E for tender submission.
+ Conduct constructability reviews and participate in HAZCONS, layout reviews, access planning and construction feasibility.
+ Support site layout planning, temporary works arrangements, access logistics and equipment placement strategies.
+ Support in the clause-by-clause review of client provided information to confirm all tender requirements are captured, mitigated and/or rejected.
+ Support to ensure a gap analysis is undertaken against client requirement specification with regards to M&E installation in any subsequent subcontractor RFQ's.
+ Validate that engineering deliverables can be safely and efficiently constructed within the site constraints.
+ Review and validate BOQ provided from engineering.
+ Confirm site durations and shift patterns based on project execution plans.
+ Responsible for development of installation unit rates for each and all electrical commodity activities including direct and indirect scopes, i.e. embeds, underground duct banks - conduits, above ground raceways and supports, cable installations, cable termination installations, electrical equipment i.e. gear, panels, transformers, high voltage switchyard components, DC valves, lighting, grounding, fire detection, etc.
+ Provide mechanical and electrical installation cost (direct/indirect) to project controls for use in ITO estimate tools.
+ Support development and capture of preliminaries and indirect construction costs such as scaffolding, temporary facilities and supervision overheads.
+ Support and provide estimation of site labour, supervision and management resource requirements.
+ Provide input to productivity norms, installation rates and methodology assumptions.
+ Collaborate with sourcing and engineering to align supplier scopes with construction constraints.
+ Identify and flag construction related risks and dependencies for inclusion in the bid risk register.
+ Participate in the tender clarification responses, customer engagement sessions and internal gate reviews.
+ Draft or contribute to sections of the overall construction execution plan and methodology descriptions, incorporating site-specific phasing, logistics and access strategies.
**Scope During OTR**
+ Provide summary notes and key construction assumptions for handover to execution teams.
+ Ensure clear transfer of Construction risks, temporary works, resourcing commitments to OTR.
+ Capture lessons learned from OTR projects and embed feedback into cost norms and execution strategies for future opportunities.

+ Demonstrate EHS leadership, ensure the application of GEV's EHS Policy and procedures in all site activities and ensure STOP WORK POLICY is implemented within the team

+ Participates in EHS Gemba walks and lead EHS improvement initiatives across the portfolio of Construction sites across the region
+ Evaluate OTR EHS risks and implement practical measures within the ITO strategies and plans.

**Skills / Qualifications:**
+ Technical qualification in construction or engineering preferred but not essential.
+ Exceptional technical knowledge of construction methodologies and productivity norms within their specific field.
+ Skilled in labour and cost estimating principles, including site prelims.
+ Knowledge of reading electrical drawings and experienced in the coordination of other commodities that interface with electrical designs and installations in clear interface with electrical, civil and mechanical scopes.
+ Familiar with Tendering Operating Rhythm and Risk Evaluation.
+ Be able to knowledge share and coach others.
+ Comfortable using Excel, estimating tools and navigating numerous project documents.
+ Ability to communicate effectively, and to accurately and concisely report both verbally and in writing. Proficiency in ENGLISH mandatory. However, additional language proficiency in European languages will be an added advantage.

**Role Summary:**
We are looking for Subject Matter Experts with understanding of Level 3/16-19 biology, chemistry and/or physics qualification content and assessments that motivate our learners and ensure accurate graded achievement. **Responsibilities/Typical Tasks**
* You would be asked to comment constructively on qualification proposals, units and assessments and offer resolutions to any issues that may arise. You will be asked to attend at least one quality assurance meeting, possibly online, on a convenient date.
* Working alongside wider qualification development team including expert writers
* Commenting on the appropriateness of sector/subject content within the qualification(s)/unit(s)
* Contributing to scoping activities to determine the appropriateness of the proposed qualification(s)
* Commenting on the validity of qualification subject/sector content and sample assessment materials for applied science.
**Experience and Qualifications Required**
**Qualifications:**

**Essential**
* Must have an understanding and experience of teaching and/or working within Applied Science linked to learners aged 16-19.
* Must have a good understanding of vocational learning and assessment in the sector.
**Desirable**
* Applied Science teaching experience and/or working in a scientific industry is desirable.
* You have written and/or quality assured educational materials and are adept at reviewing and assisting in quality assurance of educational materials.
* Industry experience not required but preferred
* This is a temporary position for a current project development.
**Experience/qualifications needed**
* Have recent relevant teaching and/or working experience
* Have been educated to a level 4 standard with relevant qualifications
* Have good written communication skills particularly in your sector/subject area of choice
* Confident use of IT
* Have an ability to work to tight deadlines

Who are your team?

Offshore Delivery is Subsea7's internal global service provider, supporting project teams worldwide. They ensure that the right people, vessels, and equipment are in the right place at the right time - backed by the right processes.

What will you be doing?

The BMS & Knowledge Management Assistant plays a key role interfacing with members of the vessel and marine teams, both offshore and onshore, in support of our global fleet of vessels.

They will control the access and usage of our management systems along with collating and administering documents and data.

This role is suited to an organised, detail-oriented person who enjoys supporting a varied team and is experienced in creating and administering data management sites.

Working closely with the BMS & KM Manager, duties include but are not limited to:

  • Administering the Asset Management (AM) suite of documents and Vessel Safety Management System using the DocTract system, ensuring content and style are aligned with business templates, in collaboration with technical experts.
  • Set and remove User permissions, as applicable. Ensure User / document owners are system competent, providing guidance and training as required.
  • Monitor existing and create new pages for Subsea7 vessels to ensure information is current and accurate. Remove content related to vessels exiting the fleet.
  • New Build Vessel / Vessel Activation / Vessel Addition; assist in the compilation of Safety Management System (SMS) documentation, vessel page information and SharePoint site. Liaise with Fleet Managers and Vessel Superintendents to understand, review and upload content.
  • Check and upload vessel verification and audit documentation, initiating and overseeing Synergi management. Disseminate information in system, tracking action points. Routinely review and, when required, ensure actions are progressing.
  • Assume responsibility for the Vessel Assurance Matrix (VAM) Dropbox, undertaking daily review and administration, setting tags and codes and liaising with Marine Compliance Team as required.
  • Assist the BMS& KM Manager with the BMS Replication.


What experience would we like you to have?

  • Experience in a similar role, however, in-house training will be provided. Energy industry experience is not essential.
  • Efficient IT skills across the MS Suite along with demonstrable knowledge Information Management, Software, Systems and Application if preferrable.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • A collaborative worker who interfaces effectively across the business.
  • The ability to work with detail and accuracy.
  • Pro-active with a solutions-based approach. Committed to continuous improvement / development of skills and work methods / processes
  • Effective planning and organising, adapts to varying and competing priorities within a fast-paced 24/7 global business.
  • Demonstrates initiative and ownership while supporting wider team activities.
