Job Description:
This position is responsible for supporting the design, configuration, monitoring and maintenance of network hardware, systems, and software; including preparing any documentation for future reference and ensuring communication regarding network security and other issues is provided timely.
Essential Duties:
• Develop and implement detailed logical designs in areas of:
• Routing and Switching
• Network security and Firewalls
• Multicast architecture
• MPLS and SD-WAN working knowledge preferably
• Develop secure network designs, maximizing the usage of equipment such as routers and switches.
• Analyse traffic behaviours, identifying and resolving any congestion or traffic issues.
• Establish procedures and best practices for data backups and disaster recovery operations.
• Monitor network performance to determine whether adjustments need to be made, and to determine where changes will need to be made in the future.
• Work with internal and external customers to fill information gaps and communicate architecture, technical solutions and DC audits.
• Work closely with the HQ Network team and pro-actively update the HLD and LLDs as required to upkeep the information with hands-on experience in MS-Visio
• Life-cycle management, patching, firmware and O/S upgrade and hardware refresh.
• Good understanding and knowledge of working principles of DC Compute and Storage & Backup Hardware to provide 1st level support as needed.
• Good understanding of Azure and AWS Cloud connectivity via Cloud exchange or Express route / Direct connect respectively.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• CCNP (Cisco Certified Network Professional) certification in routing and switching, Service Provider or higher, or equivalent knowledge and experience.
• 5+ years’ experience required, preferably in a Financial service environment.
• Ability to design, deploy, and maintain MPLS, VPN and VRF network cores.
• Ability to design, deploy, and maintain QoS across customer’s network.
• Experience with Cisco is mandatory; experience with Juniper and Palo Alto, preferred.
• High level of understanding of OSPF and BGP routing protocols. SR and IS-IS, preferred.

- Provide Incident, Request, Change and Problem Management support directly to our clients Service Desk teams.
- Take ownership of client’s incidents and requests, meeting SLA timelines for troubleshooting & resolution.

- Review monitoring and alerts to identify known errors, what needs suppression, and what needs an incident for investigation and resolution.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Experience
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience supporting Audio Visual equipment within a Service Operations Support environment.
• Level 3 knowledge in Microsoft Teams Rooms and 2 or more of the following technologies (ideally at a support level):
• Yealink MTR related equipment
• Logitech MTR related equipment
• Lenovo MTR related equipment
• HP / Poly MTR related equipment

Network & Firewall Engineer to join on a 3-month contract, supporting the delivery of secure, high-performance connectivity and resilience across a large enterprise environment.
This is a senior technical role where you'll act as the go-to authority on networking and firewall technologies, shaping and guiding the organisation's infrastructure strategy while also remaining hands-on in delivery.
What you'll be doing
- Leading on the design, configuration, and management of enterprise network infrastructure (LAN, WAN, VPN, SD-WAN).
- Overseeing firewall policies and network security zones (Cisco, Fortinet, Palo Alto or similar).
- Monitoring performance, resolving incidents, and ensuring service resilience.
- Supporting digital transformation projects by providing expert technical input.
- Mentoring and guiding engineers, setting standards, and driving best practices.
What we're looking for
- SC Cleared
and available at short notice. - Cisco CCNP-level knowledge and experience.
- Proven track record leading on enterprise networking and firewall management.
- Strong hands-on skills with network monitoring and diagnostic tools.
- Ability to influence and collaborate across technical teams and stakeholders.

The Connectivity Team within Digital Technology Services (DTS) oversee the delivery and management of all secure, reliable and scalable network solutions across the campus infrastructure forming the foundation for all IT services across the University.
We are looking for a Network Engineer to join the team and help support the current infrastructure and assist in the delivery of our new network based on Juniper's IP-CLOS topology underpinned by Juniper Mist AI. Working with modern technology at an enterprise scale, this is a rare opportunity to learn and make a difference to the customers of the network
You must have the following to be considered for the role:
- Experience of working with network equipment at the edge, distribution and core.
- Associate Level certification or equivalent experience
- Knowledge of Network Access Control (NAC) products
- Experience of working with enterprise Wi-Fi
In addition, you should be able to:
- Demonstrate good working practices in a technical support environment.
- Experience of working within IT Service Management frameworks such as ITIL
You will have :
- Solid experience of working with enterprise networks
- Associate Level certification or equivalent experience
- Solid understanding of wireless networks and RF fundamentals
- Able to work on-site
