Are you looking for your first step into a career in quality or engineering? This is a hands-on role with a global manufacturing business where you’ll learn the tools of quality control and have the opportunity to grow into a Quality Engineer of the future.
This is not a desk job – most of your time will be spent on the shop floor, inspecting hundreds (sometimes thousands) of parts each month. It’s the perfect role if you enjoy being practical, detail-focused, and want a clear pathway into a career in quality.
What you’ll do:
-
Inspect incoming and outgoing components to make sure they meet required standards
-
Carry out hands-on checks using tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges (training given)
-
Record inspection results and prepare reports using Excel
-
Support the quality team with customer issues, audits, and general quality tasks
-
Help keep inspection equipment calibrated and in good working order
What we’re looking for:
-
An engineering qualification (degree, HNC, or apprenticeship) OR hands-on manufacturing/production experience
-
Someone with an eye for detail and patience for repetitive inspection work
-
Comfortable being on your feet, moving around, and carrying out manual checks
-
Basic computer/Excel skills – training will be given on everything else
-
Enthusiasm to learn and build a career in quality
What’s in it for you:
-
Full training and mentoring from an experienced quality team
-
Clear progression pathway into a Quality Engineer role
-
25 days holiday + bank holidays, pension, life insurance, and other benefits
-
A global company with long-term career opportunities
If you’re enthusiastic, detail-driven, and ready to kickstart your career in quality, we’d love to hear from you.
