As Lab Technician for our client your role will involve for the following duties:

• Working with a variety of complex materials
• Using a variety of laboratory and test equipment
• Conducting and recording destructive and non-destructive test
• Recording of the test results both manually and on the company's ERP system
• Working closely with the Lab Manager to ensure that all tests are carried out in a timely fashion and that results are reported correctly

Our client has some flexibility around the hours to be worked but you will need to be on site at least during 9-4 Monday to Thursday and 9-2 on Fri.

The role will be for a minimum of 3 months but could last for up to 6 months.

Duties

To perform routine testing of samples for elemental content in accordance with SOPs using classical and instrumental techniques within a fast-paced commercial laboratory environment.

• Responsible for conducting analysis of samples within a laboratory environment to a high degree of accuracy in accordance with laboratory ISO17025 accreditation.
• Work with laboratory management to achieve key performance indicators.
• Organise and achieve work as assigned by area team leader/supervisor.
• To ensure safe working practices in line with HSE policy, Risk Assessment and COSHH procedures.

Our well established client is looking for a Lab Technician for a six month period.

This role will be working within the laboratory Team reporting to the Laboratory Team Leader, and will involve testing in accordance with the Quality Management System and adherence to the appropriate Standard Test Methods or procedures.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting timely and accurate testing as requested and then the data will be reported in the appropriate format.
