Their portfolio includes country gardens, listed buildings, rural estates and new homes, often developed in close collaboration with leading architects, planners and interior designers. Known for their thoughtful, research-driven approach, the team combines traditional design principles with deep horticultural expertise to craft gardens that are inspiring, enduring, and rooted in context.
Role & Responsibilities
- Creating and modifying technical drawings
- Producing planting and materials plans, schedules, and montages
- Preparing budget costings
- Developing and managing CAD templates
- Organising project documents and information
- Supporting quality control processes
- Problem-solving and following design team instructions
Required Skills & Experience
- Qualification in Landscape Design, Garden Design, or Architecture
- Practical experience using Vectorworks in a landscape setting (2D and 3D)
- Ability to read and interpret topographical plans
- Strong technical drawing ability and attention to detail

Role Overview - Landscape Architect
As a Landscape Architect in this practice, you will play a pivotal role in shaping environments that seamlessly integrate nature and design. - Demonstrable experience working as a Landscape Architect in a commercial setting.
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Landscape Architecture or a related field.
- A strong portfolio showcasing diverse projects.
- Experience in all phases of the design process, from concept to construction oversight.
- Proficiency in sustainable design principles and their integration into landscape projects.
- Proficiency in relevant software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and other design tools.

Summary of the Landscape Architect role…
Salary: Circa £40,000 per annum DOE
Location: Hertfordshire
Type of Contract: Permanent, Full-time.
Hours: 37.5 hours working week, Monday - Friday
Responsibilities of the Landscape Architect
- Contribute to the design and development of landscape schemes at all stages.
- Prepare drawings, visuals and presentations using AutoCAD, SketchUp, InDesign, Photoshop, and hand sketching when required.
- Produce detailed construction drawings and assist in preparing tender packages.
- Generate specifications, design reports, and client presentations.
- Undertake regular site visits, with a focus on Health & Safety best practices.
- Work effectively within project budgets and meet client expectations.
Requirements for a Successful Landscape Architect
- Degree-qualified in Landscape Architecture or able to demonstrate extensive relevant industry experience.
- Proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp, InDesign and Photoshop (essential).
- Strong design sensibility with an eye for detail and practical problem-solving skills.
- Confident communicator, both written and verbal.
- Full UK driving licence is essential due to regular site visits.
