As a Landscape Labourer, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing the beauty of various landscapes, ensuring that gardens and outdoor spaces are well-kept and inviting.
Duties
- Perform landscape maintenance tasks such as mowing, trimming, and edging to ensure neat and tidy grounds.
- Build and dig as required for planting new flora or creating garden features.
- Maintain existing gardens by watering, weeding, and applying mulch or fertiliser as needed.
- Operate power tools safely and efficiently, including lawn mowers, hedge trimmers, and blowers.
- Utilise hand tools effectively for various gardening tasks, ensuring proper care and maintenance of all equipment.
- Assist with groundskeeping duties to keep outdoor areas clean and free from debris.
- Irrigate plants and lawns according to their specific needs to promote healthy growth.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time while adhering to safety guidelines.
Experience
- Previous experience in landscape maintenance or gardening is preferred but not essential; we welcome those eager to learn.
- Familiarity with power tools and mechanical knowledge is advantageous for effective operation of equipment.
- A strong understanding of horticultural practices will be beneficial in maintaining diverse plant species.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions while demonstrating physical stamina for manual labour tasks.

The Role
We're looking for a confident and experienced Landscape Gardener / Team Leader to join our close-knit, professional team. In this role, you'll be leading small teams on a variety of gardening jobs, delivering high-quality garden maintenance for private clients and estates.
This is a hands-on role, so strong gardening skills are a must. You'll be guiding others, managing tools and vehicles, and making sure every job is completed to a high standard.
You'll be provided with:
* A company van
* All necessary tools
* Full support in setting up as self-employed
Key Responsibilities
* Hedge cutting, lawn mowing, strimming, weeding, bed work, pruning, and general garden care
* Leading and motivating team members
* Managing a work van and maintaining tools
* Acting as a key link between the team, company, and clients
* Maintaining high levels of quality, efficiency, and professionalism
What We're Looking For
* Previous gardening experience
* Previous leadership or supervisory experience
* A full UK driving licence
* Physically fit and capable of manual work in all seasons
* Positive, can-do attitude with strong attention to detail
* Reliable and self-motivated
* Local to the Andover / West Berkshire area
