Working hours: Monday - Friday 07:00 - 16:30
About the role
We are looking for multiple skilled and enthusiastic Landscaping Operatives to join our team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in the creation, maintenance, and enhancement of various outdoor spaces. You will undertake various landscaping projects and complete tasks such as turfing, mulching, seeding & planting.
The training offered includes on-the-job training and standard induction for best practice.
To succeed, you will need:
- A full valid UK driving licence
- CSCS card is essential.
- Knowledge of trees and shrubs.
- Planting and Turfing experience is preferred
- Can-do attitude and safety-conscious mindset.
- Physically fit and able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Previous experience in an operative role is highly desirable.

This is a temporary ongoing assignment due to increased workload over the summer period.
Manpower are looking for Soft Landscape Operatives to work for our client based out of Northampton. Working within a busy Soft Landscaping team across construction sites and potentially new builds. This role will involve, planting, turfing, flower beds, living walls and hedges. Working in line with all company Health and Safety policy documents and procedures. In this role you will be using Rotovators, Rollers, Strimmers and other small plant machinery. You will need to ensure a safe working environment is always maintained and carry out day to day maintenance and safety checks on all equipment.
The training offered includes on-the-job training and standard induction for best practice.
To succeed, you will need:
- Hold a full valid UK Driving License
- Hold a valid CSCS card
- Previous soft landscaping / new build show homes landscaping experience
- Digger / excavator card would be an advantage
- Experience of performance management

Here at Halmer Recruit we are recruiting for a Mobile Soft Landscape Gardener to join our busy client based in Chobham.
Role will involve but isn't limited to the following.
- Reading and actioning site design plans to ensure the hard landscaping elements are delivered as prescribed.
- Working with and laying various hard landscape materials - porcelain / natural stone / clay pavers / brickwork
- Setting out of a site with precision - working from plans and in collaboration with other stakeholders as required
- Installation of surface drainage and formwork
- Oversee the installation of complex irrigation systems working in collaboration with specialist firms
- Oversee the installation of water features working in collaboration with specialist firms
- Working with soft landscaping team to deliver the horticultural aspects of the project
- Managing landscaping staff on site
- Reporting to the Contracts Manager and Contracts Director with proven ability to deliver on business objectives in a timely and cost-effective manner
- Liaising and communicating with all external stakeholders whilst sensitively managing those relationships
- General gardening duties.
The ideal candidate will have the following.
- Recognised horticultural qualifications with the ability to demonstrate good plant knowledge. (plant knowledge is not essential but would be advantageous)
- Valid CSCS Card.
- Proven people manager.
- Comfortable & competent in using power tools when required
- Great team player but also comfortable working independently.
- Strong attention to detail skills.
- Excellent understanding/awareness of health & safety & implementing procedures.
- Be someone with a desire to develop & grow. Someone who is open to undertaking more training to advance their skillset & career growth.
- Must have strong customer service skills.
- Must have a Full UK Manual driving licence with no more than 3 points (due to insurance)
Hours, Days & pay.
- Monday to Friday.
- 08:00 am until 5pm (1hr lunch break)
- 35,000 to 40,000 per annum, depending on experience/qualifications.
- 28 days holiday inclusive of bank holidays.
- Company Van.
