A strong portfolio showcasing a wide range of animation styles and techniques is mandatory. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are necessary for effective team leadership and cross-departmental collaboration. You should be adept at providing constructive feedback, mentoring junior animators, and fostering a positive and productive work atmosphere. Familiarity with rigging, texturing, and rendering processes is highly beneficial. Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and mentor a team of digital animators, ensuring high-quality output and adherence to project deadlines.
  • Develop and implement animation strategies and workflows.
  • Create high-quality 3D animations for characters, environments, and visual effects.
  • Collaborate with directors and art leads to achieve the desired artistic vision.
  • Review and provide feedback on animation work from team members.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues within the animation pipeline.
  • Stay current with industry trends, software updates, and new animation techniques.
  • Contribute to the development of pre-production materials such as storyboards and animatics.
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a Lead Animator or Senior Animator in a professional studio.
  • Exceptional portfolio demonstrating artistic skill and technical proficiency in animation.
  • Expertise in 3D animation software (e.g., Maya, Blender, 3ds Max).
  • Proficiency in compositing and motion graphics software (e.g., After Effects).
  • Strong understanding of animation principles, character performance, and storytelling.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Degree in Animation, Fine Arts, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
