You will play a pivotal role in defining technical requirements, developing manufacturing processes, designing new machinery & tooling and ensuring successful New Product Introduction.
Key Responsibilities
Manage a team of Engineers proving guidance, direction and coaching.
Develop existing and new tooling designs manufacturing methods to improve efficiency and product quality.
Investigate non-conformances with a view to establishing the root cause and implementing changes.
Provide subject matter expertise to the customer and develop solid long-term relationships.
Define, manage, and validate product requirements and acceptance criteria.
Be the company customer point for NPI & manufacturing programs.
Produce Engineering drawings.
Work closely with multi-disciplinary teams, stakeholders, and external partners to drive system design, development, and delivery.

The Person
Degree or equivalent qualification in a STEM-related discipline.
A good understanding of precision engineering processes (machining preferred but not essential).
The ability to lead mechanical design work packages.
Previous experience working in a highly regulated sector (aerospace and/or defence preferred).
Demonstrable experience in applying mechanical engineering for various products along with different stages of a product lifecycle.
Experience in using Solidworks or other 3D modelling software.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal with the ability to influence across the business.
