Tradewind Recruitment are recruiting for a full time Lecturer in Vehicle Repair to work in an exceptional College in central Hull, starting ideally starting ASAP and lasting initially until October 24th. This is to cover a period of absence, so the exact length of time is difficult to establish, but may well extend. Payment for this position will be between 20 and 40 per hour depending on experience and qualifications. Working hours for this position will be 8:30 - 4:00PM per hour, and is five days per week. There may be potential for part time in this role, so any candidate who works 2-4 days per week are encouraged to apply.
Working as a Vehicle Repair lecturer, you will be instrumental in delivering Level 2 and Level 3 BTEC to eager students ready to learn. You will impart your expert knowledge to guiding them through their BTEC and successful engage the students. You will be expected to provide planning and marking for this role, but there are a number of resources available meaning that the planning requirements will be minimal.
This school is located in central Hull and has an extremely positive reputation in the local area. This college is extremely proud of it's offering in vocational studies, and the Construction/Welding department is absolutely no exception. You will be joining a strong department with a leader willing to support the transition into the college.

We are looking for a skilled and experienced technician to join our busy team at our Eltham Dealership. Being a team player is vital in this role, but you will also need to be able to work on your own.
In this role you will work on a range of the client's well-known brand vehicles and ancillary equipment using your skills in:
- Fault diagnostic and rectification using the latest manufacturers computer systems and tooling
- Ensure all work is completed to company standards, instructions and in a timely manner
Skills/Qualifications Needed:
- NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle maintenance and repairs or equivalent
- A full valid driving licence
- Previous Manufacturer Experience (Desirable)
- Diagnostic experience (Desirable)
- Approved MOT Tester status with the DVSA (Desirable)
- Key Duties:
Undertake the timely repair and servicing of customer vehicles in accordance with the brands technical standards.
* Conduct full examinations of vehicles and identify non-routine defects, or additional faults either in the workshop or during road tests.
* Undertake Electronic Vehicle Health Checks
* Work closely with the service team and ensuring they are kept informed of the progress of work on customer vehicles and they are fully briefed on work completed. Discuss technical issues/works with directly customers when requested.
* Provide a knowledgeable, courteous, responsive, and efficient service to all workshop customers, personifying the brand.
* Obtain appropriate authorisation if additional work is required on a vehicle.
* Build and maintain a high level of technical competence for diagnosing and servicing vehicles and utilise regular training and support information provided by Manufacturer.
* Offer technical advice and support to workshop apprentices when requested by a Master Technician.
* Be open to try new methods of work designed to improve efficiency.
* Full Manufacturer training will be provided.
