Start date: September / October 2025. Immediate start available.
Who are we?
Sixty is a small, high growth edtech start up - built from the ground up by 2 young people fed up with boring e-learning & lecture-style training. They decided to build the learning experiences they wanted; mobile-first, immersive, gamified and AI-driven.
Three years on, Sixty is delivering market leading learning experiences to global companies and universities. Examples of our work:
- Learning centric escape rooms, both digital & in-person
- Online AI-driven employability skills games
- Mobile-first employee onboarding journeys
- Microlearning on respiratory protective equipment
- AI-simulations on personal safety.
We’re currently working to solve some of the hardest challenges in learning technology:
- Building accurate, fair, reliable AI assessments for employability skills
- Designing AI-avatar safety training so frontline teams can practice in real-world, low risk environments
- Orchestrating the latest AI tools to make training scalable, impactful and accessible - anywhere
And our culture? Innovate fast, design beautifully, and get things done. We’re a small, ambitious team with big ideas – our platform is powerful, and our approach to learning design is unique.
We’re now growing fast… and that’s where you come in!
What’s the role, and what will you be doing?
We’re looking for someone who can design and deliver innovative learning experiences - from digital simulations, to microlearning, to in-person experiential training. This role will require you to work flexibility on a broad range of topics, from soft skills to health & safety.
You’ll be given client briefs to take from concept to delivery - supported by the rest of our team. For example, you could be designing and delivering:
- Online AI-driven simulation games – for students at universities and colleges, teaching and assessing them on key employability skills.
- Immersive, gamified in-person training experiences – for young lawyers or entry-level engineers, building skills like communication, personal brand and influencing.
- AI-avatar simulation training – focused on personal safety, with personalised feedback built in.
- Mobile-first microlearning courses – short videos and mini-quizzes that train frontline staff on how to stay safe around silica dust or use critical equipment correctly.
- Preboarding and onboarding journeys – bringing an employer’s value proposition to life, explaining their mission, vision and aims, including 1:1 conversations with existing talent.
Alongside training creation, you’ll also get stuck into the exciting variety of a start-up:
- Experimenting with AI tools - to enhance learning and assessment design
- Supporting client roll-outs - for enterprise, government, university, and college partners
- Contributing to business winning - from generating sales proposals to marketing campaigns
Your role will be varied, interesting, and centred around cutting-edge technology – it will combine evidence-based design with fast-paced, hands-on execution. If you’re excited to build the future of learning – this could be the role for you!
Requirements
Must haves:
- 3 - 6 years’ experience across L&D, experiential learning, assessment, or business psychology. You should have proven ability to design and deliver training – ideally with evidence of developing projects from scratch and seeing them through to delivery.
- Research skills – you must be comfortable with, and able to, quickly build knowledge and competence in new subject areas; our varied work and client base requires us to consistently become experts in new and unrelated fields. You should be able to quickly gather relevant and credible information and translate it into useful learning messages.
- Adaptability – as a small, fast-growing startup, we may need you to pivot and adapt your role regularly. You must be willing to take on new and varied tasks if the business requires it.
- Creativity – you will be required to generate new and novel ideas, build storylines, design characters, write scripts, and create learner materials suitable for a range of L&D projects.
- Competence in using generative AI – you must be able to use, and maximise the impact of generative AI tools to support the scoping, design, and build of learning initiatives.
- Ownership mindset – you take responsibility for your work, use your initiative to solve problems, and deliver what you say you’ll do.
- Communication skills (written & verbal) – you should be able to clearly and convincingly articulate concepts, pitch and explain ideas to clients, and write professional content in a variety of mediums.
Strong plus:
- Experience with corporate psychometric testing or assessment design
- Experience conducting academic or applied research projects
If you feel you meet 75% or more of these requirements, please still apply!
Why join us?
- Career growth that matches your ambition – as Sixty scales, you’ll grow too. As one of our first employees, you’ll have opportunity to become a future leader.
- Work directly with the founders to shape a market-leading AI training & assessment company
- Combine specialist expertise with the excitement of broad start-up exposure
- Take real responsibility and grow from day one – your work will be making a real and direct impact on our products & clients
- Collaborate with a curious, creative, ambitious team
- Build evidence-based solutions that tackle real-world problems – from employability to personal safety
- We’re not just building products - we’re shaping how the next generation of employees, students, and frontline teams learn and grow.
Closing remarks
We care more about mindset and mission match than a perfect CV. If you’re excited about shaping the future of learning, we’d love to hear from you!
