Prospero Teaching are seeking individuals who would like a career as a SEN TA. Ideally you will have some previous experience working closely with children or supporting adults with additional needs, but we also consider those with no experience of either but have a desire to start.
We are working closely with a large organisation that offers education support to those with moderate and complex learning difficulties, autism, speech & language difficulties and Social, emotional & mental health difficulties.
Teaching assistants are required to join the team, supporting students aged 5-11 years old throughout their academic day on a 1:1 basis or in small groups.
The role is working in SEN Support and will consist of:
- Providing tailored support and working with children with SEMH and SEN (special education needs)
- Creating a safe environment that allows the children to have fun, learn and succeed
- Academic support of a 1:1 basis or in small groups
- Assisting the teacher
The Ideal Candidate:
- Teaching assistant qualification would be desired but not essential
- Experience of supporting pupils with SEN on a voluntary or paid basis OR
- Experience of working with children in a youth setting

The role of Learning Coach is a rewarding one, as you will support and mentor learners with social, emotional, and mental health needs, a disability, learning difficulty or medical condition, and/or with ESOL, English and Maths support needs to enable them to successfully complete their qualifications, course and where appropriate, education, health and care plan (EHCP) outcomes.
