We are seeking an experienced commercial lawyer to join the Practical Law Commercial team in the UK.
Practical Law is a leading online know-how service providing rigorous, peer-reviewed resources, such as practice notes, current awareness and standard documents to help legal professionals work smarter and advise with confidence. About The Role
As a Senior Specialist Legal Editor in Practical Law, you will use your specialist legal knowledge of commercial law to provide and maintain a wide range of Practical Law content. Working in a supportive team of highly experienced colleagues, you will deal with a breadth of interesting legal and editorial work including:
- Analysing the latest legal, regulatory and policy developments in commercial law.
- Creating and maintaining content for online publication that reflects current law and practice and is of the quality and scope to meet business objectives and customer needs.
- Using your knowledge of UK commercial lawyers' needs to support Practical Law Global colleagues in developing new Practical Law Commercial offerings in common law jurisdictions around the world.
- Using your legal expertise to support the development of Thomson Reuters' AI-powered legal solutions including internal editorial tools.
- Reviewing and editing content written by others, both internally and externally.
- Developing relationships with third parties with a view to obtaining contributions of content or to improving content through third party insights into law or practice.
In addition, a Senior Specialist Legal Editor will assist:
- With marketing the Practical Law Commercial practice area and engaging with subscribers.
- The wider Thomson Reuters team (including Sweet & Maxwell, Lawtel and Westlaw), liaising with sales, marketing, product management and technology functions where necessary.
We can discuss part-time 4 days or full-time 5 days for this role.
About You
You're a fit for the role if you have:
- At least five years post-qualification experience (England & Wales) of practising commercial law in either a law firm, in-house or at the bar.
- A demonstrable interest and ability in writing.
- Extensive experience of working on supply of goods and supply of services agreements.
- Knowledge of some, not necessarily all, of the following areas: agency, franchising, distribution, outsourcing, consumer and advertising/marketing.

The Company:
An exciting opportunity for an Content Creator to join an established supplier of clothing who have seen growth in online marketplaces. The ideal candidate needs to be creative, to make the social media posts, and analytical to review results. You will be working within a busy office based environment.
Th e Role:
- Assist in managing content creation, must be comfortable in creating own content
- Build a strong voice for the website.
- Responsible for managing the brands social media platforms.
- Reviewing results to ensure opportunities are not missed.
- Creating reports to present results to team members.
- Marketing new products/updates/promotions to customers.
- Promoting products via social media channels including Instagram amongst others.
- Liaising with customers regarding any issues.
- Driving traffic to the website using effective marketing campaigns & influencers to drive sales.
- Monitoring all sales channels to ensure that they are operating effectively.
- Making changes to the product pricing, descriptions and imagery to increase sales
- Other duties as required.
Skills Required:
- Have a minimum of 1 year experience working within Ecommerce / Social Media.
- Adobe Photoshop knowledge also required for retouching images.
- Good written and verbal communication is important in order to write quality posts.
- Have an eye for detail and be driven and dynamic.
- Strong Computer skills.
