Job Description

Founding Engineer (Full Stack) - Digital estate planning wealthtech

Location: UK-based, remote-first (with occasional London meet-ups)

Compensation: Founding equity + pre-seed salary

Start: Immediate

About Inheritly

Inheritly is on a mission to make estate and legacy planning radically simpler, smarter, and more human. We’re building the global platform for digital legacy planning - one that integrates seamlessly into financial advice journeys, helps families plan with clarity, and unlocks lifetime value for advisers.

We’re starting with a sharp wedge into the UK IFA market - empowering advisers with a compliance-friendly, client-centric planning tool that improves engagement and drives product conversion. Our Alpha MVP is live, and we've secured strong design partner interest. Backed by ARK Venture Studio and Eagle Venture Fund, we’re now looking for a CEO to take the reins and scale Inheritly into a category-defining company.

The Role

We’re seeking a strategic and hands-on Head of Product to own the product vision and delivery of Inheritly. You'll translate our vision into a product roadmap, build intuitive and compliant user experiences, and work closely with design, engineering, partners, and stakeholders. You’ll lead product development from MVP to scale, with a strong focus on user adoption and progressive enterprise integration.

Mission & Culture Fit

You’re obsessed with building products that customers not only trust - but genuinely love. You see legacy planning as overdue for reinvention, and you're excited to challenge the status quo with elegant, intuitive solutions. You thrive on translating complex, emotionally charged problems into seamless user experiences.

The skills and experience you will need

  • 5+ years in product management , including experience owning a product roadmap end-to-end.
  • Proven ability to secure product-market fit and go from zero to £2m+ in revenue.  Demonstration of data-driven decision marking and ability to pivot rapidly.
  • Experience in B2B SaaS (and nice to have in insurtech , legaltech , wealthtech )
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, including working with enterprise partners.
  • Nice to have: Familiarity with products in regulated industries

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the strategic product roadmap : Define, prioritise, and communicate product strategy aligned with business goals and customer needs. Over the medium-term lead the design of new product features that deliver recurring revenue.
  • Embedded data and AI into the product roadmap. Data (and perhaps AI) need to drive our roadmap. We need a pragmatic approach based on what is feasible.  Inheritly must deliver absolute accuracy—users depend on us during their most sensitive life moments.
  • MVP data-driven prioritisation : Lead the development and launch of the MVP, and continuously iterate based on data and client feedback to refine features, user flows, and optimise business impact.
  • Help build a transformational customer journey : We want to deliver much more value to customers (IFAs and end customers) at much less cost. User expertise is a critical part of this.
  • Cross-functional leadership: Drive seamless collaboration across product, tech, and sales to bring Inheritly’s features from concept to launch.

What success looks like (first 12 months)

  • Define and align the company around a clear 12–24 month product vision and roadmap. Product roadmap formally adopted by leadership and shared cross-functionally by Month 6.
  • Launch Beta/MVP product that solves core user pain points. To hit agreed NPS score after 12 months.
  • Establish a reliable, scalable product development and release process (release cycle to hit agreed cadence by month 6).
  • Build customer understanding and insight loop. Monthly user research sessions embedded into planning by Month 3. Key product decisions traceable to direct user insight or data.
