Position: Activities Shift Leader  
Type: Full-Time / Part-Time / Seasonal   
Pay Rates: Up to £13.21 per hour depending on age

Join our One Great Team here at Haven as Activities Shift Leader , where you’ll play a key role in bringing fun and excitement to our guests through the delivery of a wide variety of activities across our park.  

In this role, you’ll be at the heart of an energetic team, leading assigned shifts with clear direction and plenty of motivation. You’ll inspire the team to provide fantastic guest experiences and high-quality standards. Plus, you'll make sure everything stays safe, compliant, and on point with company policies.  

Key Responsibilities   
- Lead and support the team by assigning tasks, ensuring smooth workflow, and motivating the team to deliver excellent service. 
- Provide prompt, professional guest service, addressing complaints and special requests. 
- Supervise and motivate the activities team, promoting a positive, fun, and safe work environment.  
- Ensure all safety guidelines are followed during activities, including the proper use of equipment and adherence to activities guidance. 
- Assist in training new team members on company policies and procedures. 
- Participate in team duties while stepping up as the shift leader when assigned. 

Requirements  
- Experience as a Team Leader or Supervisor in an activity setting, sports or recreation role is preferred. 
- First Aid at Work is desirable   
- Strong leadership and communication skills.  
- Detail-oriented, especially when it comes to carrying out safety checks and following safety guidelines  
- Committed to providing high-quality, customer-focused service.  
- Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and bank holidays as needed.  

This opportunity requires the new candidate to undergo, and satisfactorily complete, an Enhanced DBS check prior to starting work. To meet the qualifications and training requirements, candidates must be 18 years and over.

In the role of Children's Activities Assistant, you will be key to supporting all of our objectives. This will start with actively leading our Party and Holiday Camp activities, organising the activities and ensuring the bookings are running smoothly.

Are you an enthusiastic individual with a passion for working with children? We are looking for a to join our friendly and professional Freedom Leisure team. We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, upbeat and fun! Someone who is able to make sure that the children have an enjoyable visit and not afraid to join in with the activities available. You will supervise and work alongside a team of assistants, ensuring that all staff are working effectively and adhering to the normal operating procedures of the Centre.

Requirements

• Managing the team of staff on shift who will assist in running the club.
• Have overall responsibility for the daily running of the club, overseeing paperwork, child registration and activity organisation.
• Work closely with the Centre and Holiday Club managers to ensure a smooth operation of the club.
• Carry out your duties in accordance with our Normal Operating Procedures and Emergency Action Plans.
• Maintain high standards of hygiene throughout the running of the club.
• Provide excellent customer service and have high standards of work.
• Deal with customer queries, comments and complaints in a prompt and efficient manner.
• A childcare qualification is desirable but not essential.
