Responsible for full route ownership of all breakdowns/servicing and planned repairs.

Working autonomously and within a team as required.

Liaising with HQ and supporting other engineers as and when required

Standby call out of hours will be 1/5 possibly going to 1/6 (250 per week standby then calls on top)

O/T is available dependent on business needs.

NVQ3 is a minimum.

Area will be NW (likely to be more Liverpool/Wirral and some Manchester sites)

Salary depending on experience 17-19 per hour but willing to review based on technical ability)

Roles and Responsibilities of an NVQ Level 3 Rigger

1. Planning and Preparation

• Assess Work Requirements: Understand the scope of lifting operations, including the type of load, weight, and environmental conditions.
li>Risk Assessments: Conduct thorough risk assessments to identify potential hazards and implement mitigation measures.
• Method Statements: Develop or interpret detailed method statements for rigging operations, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
• Equipment Selection: Select appropriate rigging equipment (e.g., slings, shackles, hoists, cranes) based on load requirements and site conditions.
• Liaison with Teams: Coordinate with crane operators, supervisors, and other team members to ensure smooth operations.

2. Rigging and Lifting Operations

• Set Up Rigging Systems: Assemble and install rigging equipment, ensuring it is secure and fit for purpose.
• Load Handling: Safely attach, lift, and move loads, ensuring proper weight distribution and balance.
• Advanced Rigging Techniques: Perform complex rigging tasks, such as multi-point lifts, tandem lifts, or lifts in confined spaces.
• Use of Lifting Accessories: Utilize slings, chains, ropes, and other lifting accessories, ensuring they are inspected and compliant with standards.
• Signaling and Communication: Use hand signals, radios, or other communication methods to guide crane operators during lifts.
