Compliance/ Contract Delivery Officer (Asbestos or Lift Maintenance) required to work with leading Midlands based Housing Association on a permanent contract.
My client requires an experienced and professional Compliance & Contract Delivery Officer to join their specialist repairs team. This is an amazing opportunity for someone who has a strong understanding of asbestos related maintenance services and building maintenance.
You will support the effective delivery of contracted and internal maintenance services focused on gas compliance and remedial works programmes ensuring that contracted works are delivered in a tenant-centric manner and in-line with current regulation and legislation.
Working closely with the wider team and contractors, you'll ensure that challenging operational objectives and KPIs are achieved in a legislatively compliant, timely, cost effective and tenant-focused manner at all times. On a daily basis you'll demonstrate a dedication to achieving compliance performance and achieving targets for respective gas compliance contracts; relishing the opportunity to gain value for money whilst ensuring that our tenants are provided with a seamless high-quality service.
Main tasks:
- Achievement of the P405 Qualification.
- An outline of your experience and expertise in building safety, ideally with a background in Asbestos however knowledge or experience of lift compliance / LOLER would also be beneficial.
- Effectively co-ordinate existing processes and communicate with relevant colleagues and partner contractors.
- Create/update daily reports to monitor compliance programme, identify key risks and any works out of process.
- Compile/update report on properties with isolated services, liaising with colleagues across the business to reinstate services where possible
- Contact customers to arrange access for contractors for properties at compliance risk.
- Liaise with colleagues across the business to mitigate risks to compliance and support vulnerable tenants.
- Create risk assessments of all compliance risks and notify senior management in a timely manner.
- Liaise with colleagues/contractors to ensure any defects or safety issues are remediated in a timely manner.
- Compile month end compliance reports and metrics.

+ Previous experience within a highly regulated Quality System Environment, preferably in the IVD medical devices or similar industry.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
+ Good interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate with colleagues and external suppliers.
+ Knowledgeable in multiple industries preferably within the FMCG, Pharma, or Medical Device industries.

THE ROLE

- Fault diagnosis, servicing and repair of the pain and wash facilties across the site

THE PERSON
- Has served a 4 year apprenticeship in Multi-skilled maintenance, preferably in an automated manufacturing environment.
- Educated to HNC level or equivalent in a Multi-Skilled discipline (Mechanical Bias).
- Has experience maintaining automated facilties, fault finding and implementing improvements.
- Possess a good mechanical knowledge of pumps, motors, conveyor systems including pneumatics, hydraulics and electrical.
- Has experience refurbishing pumps, motors and bearings
- Possess a good knowledge of fabrication and welding techniques
- Able to produce technical reports with good working knowledge of maintenance systems.
