CNC Recruitment are currently seeking Paint Line Operatives to join our client in Bridport, a well-known sheet fabrication company. The ideal candidates will be semi-skilled, with previous experience in a production or manufacturing environment preferred but not essential

Location: Bridport, Dorset
Pay Rate: £12.50 per hour
Contract: Temp - Perm

Role Allocation:

2x candidates – Day Shift – 8am – 5pm

1x candidates – Night Shift – 6pm – 6am – pay TBC

Key Duties:

Organising and preparing items for the paint line

Hanging items on the paint line ready for painting

Removing painted items from the line and sorting them accordingly

Cleaning and preparing items before they are painted

Handling and moving paint and materials as required (occasionally handling boxes of up to 20kg)

Requirements

Good level of physical fitness – the role involves regular movement and manual handling

Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

Attention to detail and ability to follow processes

A proactive and reliable attitude

Previous experience in a similar role or production environment is desirable but not essential

Our client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Advanced Assembly Line Supervisor to oversee operations at their state-of-the-art facility in Norwich, Norfolk, UK . This is a critical role responsible for ensuring the efficient and safe production of high-quality goods. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of manufacturing processes, a proven ability to lead and motivate teams, and a commitment to continuous improvement.

Responsibilities:
  • Direct and supervise the daily activities of the assembly line team, ensuring productivity targets are met and exceeded.
  • Implement and enforce strict quality control procedures to maintain product integrity and minimize defects.
  • Manage inventory levels of components and finished goods, coordinating with supply chain departments to ensure timely replenishment.
  • Train new team members on assembly processes, safety protocols, and quality standards.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
  • Identify opportunities for process optimization and implement changes to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, maintaining a safe working environment for all employees.
  • Troubleshoot production issues, collaborating with engineering and maintenance teams to resolve problems quickly.
  • Maintain accurate production records and generate reports on output, quality, and team performance.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative team environment, promoting a culture of excellence and accountability.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Proficiency in using manufacturing execution systems (MES) and other relevant software.
  • A thorough understanding of health and safety legislation relevant to manufacturing.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet demanding deadlines.
  • A proactive approach to identifying and addressing potential issues.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; a relevant technical certification or degree is a plus.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the production process of chilled potato products, ensuring adherence to quality specifications.
  • Operate machinery and equipment as required, following established safety protocols.
  • Monitor production flows and report any issues or anomalies to supervisors for prompt resolution.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations and production areas.
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations to promote a safe working environment.
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve daily production targets.
Job Details
  • Hours of Work: Friday & Monday - 0600 to 1430, Saturday & Sunday: 0600 to 1830
  • Weekly Hours: 39
  • Rate of Pay: From £12.21 to £14.26
  • Enhanced overtime rate available
