- Liaise with shipping carriers, airlines, road hauliers, and customs brokers to arrange bookings and track shipments.
- Prepare and process all necessary shipping documentation, including bills of lading, customs declarations, and invoices.
- Communicate effectively with clients to provide shipment updates, address inquiries, and resolve issues promptly.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant import/export regulations, customs procedures, and company policies.
- Monitor shipment progress, identify potential delays or disruptions, and implement corrective actions.
- Manage warehouse operations where applicable, including receiving, storage, and dispatch of goods.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all shipments and related documentation within the company's logistics management system.
- Process freight invoices and reconcile charges to ensure accuracy.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of logistics processes and operational efficiency.
- Assist in training and mentoring junior logistics staff.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with suppliers and partners.
- Proven experience in logistics, freight forwarding, or supply chain management, ideally with 3-5 years in a coordination role.
- Strong understanding of international shipping procedures, customs regulations, and incoterms.
- Proficiency in using logistics management software and MS Office Suite.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
