We're looking for a motivated and dynamic individual to join our team as a temporary worker, with the strong possibility of a permanent position. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is ready to learn and grow with our company.
This is a varied role that requires working both in the office and on the shop floor. The main duties include:
* Logistics & Administration: Booking customer jobs in and out using our system. Proficiency with standard office software is a must.
* Forklift Operation: Operating a forklift to move goods as needed.
* Packing & Shipping: Packing goods securely and wrapping pallets for shipment.
* Communication: Interacting regularly with the Inspection Department and the rest of the shop floor team.
Requirements:
* Previous factory or warehouse experience.
* A strong work ethic and a willingness to learn our specific systems and customer requirements.
* A positive attitude and excellent communication skills.
Hours:
* Monday - Thursday: 7:00 AM - 4:15 PM
* Friday: 7:00 AM - 12:00 PM

Key Responsibilities:
- ERP & Data Management – Drive data accuracy across supply chain systems, ensure seamless integration, and manage reporting workflows.
- Distribution Centre Optimisation – Use Oracle ERP tools to analyse network performance, mechanise operations, and design smarter distribution models.

In the UK, Safran Seats specialises solely in the First Class and Business Class seating markets for wide body aircraft, with industrial and engineering teams in Cwmbran and Newport, Wales and Brackley, England.
The purpose of this role is to effectively manage a logistics team on a daily basis
Act as a focal point and assume responsibility for supply chain related issues as well as ensuring adherence to all HSE requirements and procedures
Encourage and participate in continuous improvement activities in the function
Key Responsibilities will include:
Be the lead, mentor and developer within the team.
Ensure proactive management of workload per shift, per work stream to meet
KPI's.
Driving duties if required to support all aims.
Lead problem solving initiatives through implementation.
Build on current 5S standards and develop through tiers.
To ensure continuous improvement activities are conducted, reviewed and
evaluated in area of responsibility with the team.
Liaise with the Logistics Manager in the coordination with 3rd party transport and
packaging providers based on business requirements to ensure timely fulfilment
of customer needs
Accurately plan daily tasks to ensure sufficient resource allocation to meet internal
and external customer demand.

The Import Export Logistics Support Specialist is responsible for executing and coordinating all activities related to the movement of goods across international borders. This role ensures that imports and exports are carried out in a timely, compliant, and cost-effective manner, adhering to international trade laws and internal policies. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting global supply chain operations and ensuring customer satisfaction by maintaining efficiency, accuracy, and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Import/Export Operations Coordination
- Manage and monitor end-to-end logistics for both import and export shipments via air, sea, and land.
- Schedule and track shipments to ensure timely delivery of goods.
- Work closely with customs brokers, freight forwarders, carriers, warehouse teams, and suppliers to facilitate cross-border trade.
- Coordinate pick-up, delivery, customs clearance, and final-mile logistics for inbound and outbound shipments.
Documentation and Compliance
- Prepare, review, and maintain shipping documentation including:
-Commercial invoices

-Export declarations

Systems and Recordkeeping
- Enter logistics and shipping data into ERP systems (SAP/SMT).
- Maintain shipping logs, trackers, and compliance records.
- Generate weekly/monthly reports on shipment status, lead times, costs, and issues.
Stakeholder Communication
- Serve as a point of contact for internal stakeholders and external partners.
- Provide real-time updates on shipment status and address any delays, damages, or discrepancies.
- Escalate urgent logistics issues and propose corrective actions.
Process Improvement
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to streamline shipping processes and reduce costs.
- Participate in vendor performance evaluations and logistics cost analysis.
- Recommend and implement best practices for international trade compliance and supply chain optimization.
Qualifications:
Education
- Bachelor's degree in International Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field (preferred).
- Additional certifications in trade compliance are an advantage.
Experience
- 2–5 years of experience in international logistics, import/export operations, or freight forwarding.
- Hands-on experience with international shipping, customs clearance, and trade compliance.
Technical Skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Experience with ERP systems (preferrable).
- Knowledge of global Incoterms, HS codes, and customs procedures.
Soft Skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and coordination abilities.
