**Salary: Circa £32,000 per annum plus excellent companywide benefits**

**Position Summary**
We now have a fantastic opportunity for a talented and driven individual to join our Nestlé Waters business as a Logistics Planning executive, reporting to the Warehouse Shift Manager.
The key objective of this role is to provide, customer facing service supporting our distribution team (planning and delivery teams) to enable the goods received and goods out to be distributed in timely manner.

**A day in the life of a Logistics Planning Executive**
Reporting to the Shift Manager, your main responsibility will be to work as a member of the team and coordinate orders from the FRS and managing inbound / outbound deliveries.
You will be expected to greet drivers on their arrival and work closely with our transport team in York on a daily basis, to establish a link between production planning and the distribution team to ensure a smooth transition to market
Other duties include but are not limited to:
+ Ensuring timely deliveries are met in accordance with the loading schedule and compliance to the driving time directive.
+ Dealing with driver queries and providing solutions and escalating when required
+ Proactive approach to the daily planning schedule to identify any problematic areas of the shift
+ Reporting progress vs plan to the warehouse shift manager throughout the shift to ensure the days targets for the loads are met
+ Monitor the yard in a live space ensuring capacity for trailers is not exceeded but also not under the minimum requirements for fulfilment
+ Goods returned - this needs to be documented and inputted into the system and put it "back into stock" and reported through the correct planning channels
+ Responsible for the paper trail of goods in and goods out of the factory, high attention to detail ensuring everything is documented and retained in the appropriate manner.
+ Responsible for communicating with Drivers ensuring they are compliant during their visit and be prepared to identify and challenge where required
+ Proactively promoting positive behaviours around individual safety and safety of others

+ Have experience of working in an environment that drives continuous improvement and passion for safe and efficient warehouse operation.
+ Demonstrate the ability to use computer systems to an intermediate/ Advanced Level
+ Proven track record in a Distribution or transport-based environment
+ Essential knowledge of Health and Safety implications within the transport environment

Previous, proven experience in a Dispatch / Logistics role
Experience with 3PL
Confident communication skills, verbal and written
Experience in Microsoft Excel / Word
Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritise workload
Ability to work under pressure
Liaise with all Contract Managers and Planning to ensure all delivery schedules are in place
Ensure trailers are available in accordance with workload
Raise purchase orders for all transport required, FLT repairs, maintenance and waste skips on site
Communicate with the logistics team on load requirements and changes
In advance, communicate with Contracts Managers and aim to maximise loads and track the savings generated
Create and issue sundries and soleplates to be issued to the dispatch team
Checking that all picking and loading pictures are uploaded to viewpoint to the standard required and report any missing to Logistics Manager
Work alongside Materials Controller completing weekly cycle counts and stock takes
Work with the senior management team to seek to continually improve production processes and efficiencies
Process Works orders through MRP system ensure these align with real time manufacture
Support with BOM updates

The Logistics Process Planning role offers opportunity to be working within the Material Planning department to obtain full process knowledge, customer order and parts supply. The department is responsible for the supply of all production related material into the assembly hall to build a quality vehicle from approximately 350 suppliers world-wide. Alongside this we are also responsible for the supply of consumable and maintenance items across the plant.

- Autonomous development, agreement and implementation of supply processes.

In your second year, you'll transition into our planning function to explore inventory management, production planning, and gain experience with Diageo's planning systems. You'll also focus on using data for decision-making by analysing supply chain critical metrics and understanding risk management, including assessment and mitigation planning. Possible rotations could include roles like Market Planner, Business Planner, or Category Supply Planner.
Year 3: Project Leadership & Innovation
The third year will see you build upon your knowledge from the first two years by taking on significant projects. You'll engage in project leadership involving execution, capacity planning, budget forecasting, and resource coordination. Additionally, you'll explore supply chain innovation by investigating emerging technologies like automation and AI in logistics. Your involvement will extend to cross-functional central initiatives where you'll participate in projects such as Digital Transformation or Logistics Automation.
