They have two sites in Scotland and form part of an international business stretching into the USA and Middle-East. The group is undergoing extensive growth and change right now. To help facilitate this, they now need to recruit a Supply Chain Manager.
 
Reporting to the Supply Chain Director, the Supply Chain Manager has responsibility across two sites for planning, purchasing, inventory, cost management, logistics, customer services. We are looking for a proven Supply Chain Manager. Ideally, you are educated to degree calibre and/or hold relevant professional CIPS qualifications (MCIPS/APICS). Candidates will have worked in a volume driven production / manufacturing environment and ideally will have first-hand experience using SAP ERP (or other relevant ERP systems) platforms to manage the procurement and planning functions.  In this role you'll oversee sourcing, negotiation and order management and optimisation of stock and setting policies, management of suppliers and driving on-time, cost control and cost reduction.  We would be especially keen to hear from candidates involved in the overall supply chain management experience - planning, purchasing, inventory, cost management, logistics, customer services.
 
You should good leadership, team work, communication, problem solving and analytical and structured thinking with strategic planning and implementation skills in a manufacturing / industrial business environment.
 
Give the role is based across two sites in the Scottish Borders, the client will need presence on site. They are open to a hybrid working style, where you can work from home (possibly Monday and Friday) and be onsite Tues-Thurs inclusive.
