My global technology defence client is looking n for an experienced SAP Procurement / Warehouse Management consultant to join their team to be their functional product/system expert for SAP Warehouse Management ( Modules WM /eWM).
This role can be worked fully remotely with occasional meeting on various client sites in the UK
Due to the nature of the work you should have current SC Security clearance as a preference or be able to obtain SC Clearance (Criteria includes being a British Citizen with no dual citizenships and have lived in the UK for the last 5 years consecutively)
You will work with the client and the Logistics team to gather and analyse business requirements for the support and configuration of SAP Procurement / Warehouse Management ( WM /eWM), as well as having the flexibility / willingness to explore other areas of SAP Logistics related functionality.
You must understand the business processes of the functional area and participate in the configuration, implementation, maintenance and/or enhancement of SAP modules to align with business requirements.
Acting as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for WM you will participate in problem identification and assist in developing solutions along with the technical team.
Key Tasks
- Gathers and analyses user business requirements and processes.
- Understands client requirements, needs and functionality of the Procurement / Warehouse Management (WM/eWM) modules.
- Defines and documents business requirements and validates solutions with the client with AS-IS and TO_BE process flows.
- Works with business users to configure / customise SAP to translate business requirements into functional design specifications.
- Defines initial settings, module-relevant security settings and reporting options.
- Understands processes, reporting requirements and user interfaces impacted by the SAP Procurement / Warehouse Management ( WM/eWM) functionality. Acting as the Subject Matter Expert.
- Identifies modifications and recommends and applies changes as appropriate.
- Experience supporting SAP Procurement / Warehouse Management ( WM/eWM) functions, that also includes the communication and interaction with technical teams and client to resolve functional issues to meet client requirements.
- Provides end user training and supports junior team members on learning journeys and up-skilling.
Essential Skills
- 5+ years of SAP Warehouse Management ( WM/eWM) experience in business solutions, business analysis or management analysis experience
- Additional experience of SAP modules aligned to SAP eWM/ WM
- Experience assisting users with business process changes and improvement initiatives.
- Ideally SAP certified, or willing to complete certification.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
Desirable Skills
- Experienced in writing and executing relevant test scenarios.
- Problem solving skills to identify, take ownership, analyse and assist in solving business application problems in an ERP environment.
- Presentation skills to present to management and customers.
- Ability to publicly represent the company with internal and external clients.
- Ability to convey a strong presence, professional image, and deal confidently with business problems.
- Ability to communicate technical and business matters clearly in lay terms for comprehension by multiple audiences.
