LOGISTICS ADMINISTRATOR - FULL TIME - 26,600 - 30,000 (DEPENDING ON EXPERIENCE) - PLUS BONUS - MONDAY TO FRIDAY 3PM TO 11PM - BASED WATTON AREA

The role provides crucial support to the transport department in the daily planning and execution of 44 million worth of outbound and inbound logistics. This encompasses delivery scheduling, detailed shipment planning (carton-level), outbound delivery notes processing, and the management of inbound returns and failed deliveries.

This position operates within a high-pressure, fast-paced environment, necessitating the ability to prioritise and execute multiple tasks logically and professionally.

Responsibilities encompass:

Coordinating with customers, suppliers, and drivers to optimise route planning and delivery scheduling, prioritising workload and managing driver briefings and debriefings, resolving transport-related challenges and processing customer returns to maintain operational efficiency.

Key Accountabilities

Requires strong organisational skills for efficient schedule, route, and load planning. Demonstrates flexibility and decisive, professional judgment. Possesses excellent communication skills to effectively interact with multiple stakeholders. Proactively minimises delivery delays and missed time slots. Exhibits strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to make informed decisions. Shows a willingness to take ownership and accountability.

Key Skills & Experience

We are seeking a candidate with proven traffic management experience in similar environments, logical thinking with independent problem-solving abilities, excellent prioritisation abilities, strong geographical knowledge, computer literate including Excel and Outlook with a confident 'can-do' approach.

Hours of Work

We are seeking someone who can work between 30-40hours pw, between the hours of 15:00-00:00 (3pm-12am). Working hours and start times to be agreed and then set.

• Prepare shipping and delivery documents (labels, manifests, invoices).
• Receive and verify deliveries; supervise loading/unloading.
• Maintain inventory data in warehouse systems and Excel.
• Liaise with suppliers, couriers, and internal teams to meet deadlines.
• Archive import/export documents and ensure Customs compliance.
• Support stock counts and prepare performance reports.

• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Good written and spoken English.
• Competent in Microsoft Office; SAP knowledge an advantage.
• Resilient under pressure and proactive in problem-solving.
• Counterbalance Forklift Licence preferred.
• Previous logistics/warehousing experience essential.

The Role

We’re looking for a dynamic and proactive Warehouse and Logistics Manager to lead our warehouse and despatch functions at the March site. This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll be expected to actively support your team, champion best practice, and help build a culture of accountability, development, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities 

• Oversee all aspects of warehousing (on and off-site), stock control, pallets/tops and transport, ensuring excellent service to customers while meeting budgeted costs.
li >Lead by example on the shop floor, supporting, coaching, and developing a high-performing warehouse team.
• Drive a continuous improvement culture, identifying opportunities to streamline processes, improve stock accuracy, reduce waste, and enhance safety.
• Take full accountability for stock accuracy, transport planning, and third-party contractor management, ensuring compliance and cost efficiency.
• Ensure all despatch operations support (OTIF) performance and customer satisfaction targets.
• Coordinate warehousing and logistics to support production requirements and optimise space utilisation across on-site and off-site locations.
• Collaborate with internal teams, including Production, Finance, Customer Services, and Planning, to ensure logistics activities align with plant priorities.
• Ensure Health & Safety is prioritised, always driving adherence to safe systems of work and company procedures.

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience in warehouse and logistics management (ideally in a manufacturing environment).
• A visible, hands-on leader who actively supports and inspires their team.
• Track record of leading successful CI initiatives (Lean, 5S, visual management, etc.).
• Strong understanding of transport and stock control systems.
• Exceptional planning, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to challenge the status quo and drive measurable change.
• A collaborative mindset, able to build effective relationships across departments.
• Leadership qualifications (e.g., ILM or equivalent) (Desirable)
