About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced EMEA Logistics & 3PL Manager to oversee logistics, warehousing, and distribution for all materials and products imported, exported, or distributed within the EMEA region. This role ensures compliance with trade regulations, GMP, and GDP standards while driving operational excellence across our EU logistics operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage strategic partnerships with key logistics and 3PL providers, leading performance reviews to ensure alignment with service levels and business objectives.
- Oversee inbound and outbound logistics, brokerage, customs, 3PL, and distribution functions, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of goods.
- Manage freight across multiple manufacturing and distribution operations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address logistics needs, resolve issues, and optimize the supply chain.
- Develop and execute logistics strategies that align with business goals, ensuring clear communication across stakeholders.
- Manage variable and fixed logistics budgets.
- Negotiate carrier rates, services, and contracts.
- Develop, publish, and manage EU logistics MIS reporting.
- Ensure compliance with all EU logistical regulations and GDP standards.
- Lead transport validation studies and logistics projects, including process improvements for cold-chain and technology initiatives.
- Investigate and resolve logistics and distribution issues.
- Handle special projects related to logistics, warehousing, shipping, and SAP as needed.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering, Business, or related field; MBA or graduate-level Supply Chain degree preferred.
- Minimum 8 years of European pharmaceutical experience in Logistics and/or Supply Chain.
- 5+ years of SAP experience highly desirable.
- In-depth knowledge of warehousing, distribution, logistics, and GDP principles.
- Strong understanding of European import/export pharmaceutical regulations.
- Experience distributing controlled substances required.
- Expertise in global logistics across road, sea, and ocean transportation.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and project management experience.
- Highly motivated, results-driven, and proactive with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical, conceptual, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
