Title: Logistics Coordinator
Location: Huddersfield
Salary: Circa £33,000
Elevation Recruitment Group are proud to be partnering exclusively with a rapidly growing manufacturer based in Huddersfield as they look to recruit a Logistics Coordinator.
The business which has recently expanded its operations in Europe, has ambitious plans to double in size over the next couple of years’ and this newly created role will be key in helping the business achieve this.
Key duties of the Logistics Coordinator will include:
- Support Sales with lead time estimates during quoting
- Ensure Engineering meets deadlines and verify part setup data
- Support the Supply Chain Manager in procurement and inventory management, ensuring timely material deliveries and accurate stock control via the ERP system
- Coordinate with the Logistics Manager on domestic and international shipments, including preparation of compliant documentation for the transport of hazardous materials
- Maintain all material compliance records, including COSHH assessments and Certificates of Analysis, in accordance with regulatory and company standards
- Ensure full adherence to legislative and procedural requirements for importing, exporting, and storing dangerous goods
- Accurately record all goods movements through the ERP system to maintain traceability and support audit readiness
- Liaise with freight forwarders, customs agents, and suppliers to ensure smooth, compliant transit of goods across borders
Key Skills & Experience required:
- Experience in a Manufacturing environment / organising transport of dangerous goods
- Previous European logistics experience
- SAP experience (desirable)
- Excellent organisational skills

- Unloading/loading of materials/products using Forklift truck (reach/counterbalance) and telehandler li>Unloading/loading of tankers with either powder or liquid products including ADR products

- Ensure all paperwork and documentation is accurately recorded and completed
- Work closely with production department on all matters relating to process control and product quality assurance
- Movement of materials/goods around site and off-site storage areas

- Assisting with stock taking
Skills & knowledge of a Logistics Operative:
- li>Previous experience working in similar environment
- A current (less than 3 years old) FLT qualification
- Full clean UK driving licence
- Ability and willingness to take ownership of assigned tasks and work without continuous supervision
- Experience of working in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
- Basic IT skills, with the ability to input data into Microsoft Office products
- Chemical handling awareness (preferred)
