Key responsibilities include performing load flow analysis, short circuit calculations, protection coordination studies, and designing substation layouts, switchgear, and associated equipment. You will develop detailed engineering drawings, schematics, and technical specifications using industry-standard software (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical, ETAP). Collaboration with cross-functional teams, including mechanical engineers, project managers, and clients, is essential. You will provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, review their work, and ensure adherence to project requirements, industry standards, and best practices. The successful candidate must possess a strong understanding of power system theory, electrical codes, and regulatory requirements. Excellent problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and strong communication skills are vital for success in a remote working environment. A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering and a minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in electrical power system design are required. Chartered Engineer status (CEng) or eligibility for Chartership is highly desirable.
