Graduate Technical Sales Administrator
Location: Wath upon Dearne
Salary: £27,000 – £30,000
Hours: Monday to Friday (with an early finish on Fridays)
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
We’re working with a well-established engineering manufacturer based in Wath upon Dearne that supplies high-performance components to clients across marine and industrial sectors worldwide.
They are now looking to appoint a Graduate Technical Sales Administrator – ideally someone with a Mechanical Engineering degree – to join their technical sales and projects team. This is an excellent opportunity for a graduate looking to use their engineering knowledge in a commercial and customer-focused environment.
The Role
As a Graduate Technical Sales Administrator, you’ll support the sales process from initial enquiry through to order completion. You’ll work closely with internal departments (engineering, production, procurement) and external customers, ensuring accurate interpretation of technical specifications and smooth order processing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Interpret CAD drawings and technical specifications to assess project requirements
- Prepare and issue accurate quotations based on engineering inputs and costings
- Process customer orders , ensuring technical accuracy and commercial alignment
- Liaise with internal teams to ensure timely delivery and production coordination
- Communicate with customers by email to confirm project details and updates
What We’re Looking For
- A degree in Mechanical Engineering (or closely related discipline)
- Proficiency in Autocad LT or similar 2d CAD package
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings (training provided where needed)
- Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking
- Good communication and organisational skills
- A proactive and enthusiastic approach to learning and supporting technical projects
