Amazing opportunity in sales - a Luxury Retail Sales Manager / Art Gallery Manager is required for this stunning contemporary Art Gallery.
You do not necessarily need an Art background but a desire to sell a prestigious luxury retail product is essential (product training will be provided). A strong appreciation of art is obviously preferred.
The role is about generating sales but is definitely not a hard sell - you will work towards realistic sales targets and generate new business through a self-motivated approach.
You will provide exceptional client & customer service - being fantastic with clients is their strength, giving them an amazing client experience from start to finish. You will consultatively manage their needs and be able to transfer your passion for sales & the product, in order to generate sales. You will be driven to work towards monthly targets with the potential to earn good commission.
As the Gallery Retail Sales Manager, as well as reacting to the clients who enter the gallery, you will also proactively do outreach & make daily calls to promote the gallery - this is key to help increase the footfall & generate more sales. Luxury retail can generate lower footfall so the gallery pride themselves on account managing clients over the phone & email, making daily client list calls & generating prospective business through a self-starting approach.
This is a sales driven Management role where you will work on the floor servicing clients, as well as the management of the gallery.
Weekends are the busiest time of the week so you must be definitely flexible to work a lot of them, although it’s a 5 day week
The ability to drive is preferred as they also do home consultations as an extra service to clients.

About you
The ideal candidate for this role would be someone who enjoys fast paced projects with unique and complex daily challenges. they would enjoy working closely with projects managers and retail brands to bring a vision to life. The candidate would be comfortable with site visits and working closely with general contractors as well as enjoy working with heritage buildings. Key Responsibilities:
● Defining, planning and managing the development of a construction project.
● Coordinating engineering information provided by our consultants into architectural and construction projects.
● Producing and developing architectural drawing packages from especially within RIBA stage 3 and 4
● Developing and advising on innovative solutions alongside a brand’s guidelines and vision.
● Managing and coordinating the detailed design process, specification and finishes selection.
● Producing documentation for statutory approvals by Landlords and Local Authorities.
● Working closely with project managers in preparing Tendering information.
● Ensuring compliance with relevant building codes.
● Undertaking 3D building Surveys, Site Visits and inspections.
● Collaborating with the ML Team during the project closure phase, Managing Snagging Lists and O&M reviews.
Qualifications:
● Education: A degree in Architecture is essential, and it should be accredited by the ARB (Architects Registration Board) for Part 2 qualification in the UK.
● Part 2 Accreditation: Successful completion of the Part 2 qualification process is mandatory.
Skills:
● Technical Skills: Proficiency in Building Design Software (BIM) like Revit or ArchiCAD, alongside 2D drafting software like AutoCAD.
● Design Skills: A strong understanding of design principles, creativity for concept development, and the ability to translate ideas into technical drawings.
● Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication to collaborate effectively with colleagues, clients, project managers, and consultant teams
● Presentation Skills: The ability to present design proposals and technical drawings clearly and persuasively.
● Soft Skills: Time management, problem-solving, ability to work independently and as part of a team, and a strong work ethic are all crucial.
Knowledge and Expertise:
● Building Regulations: A good working knowledge of UK Building Regulations and their application to various projects.
● Construction Methods & Materials: Understanding of different construction methods and materials used in architectural projects.
● RIBA Stages: Familiarity with the RIBA (Royal Institute of British Architects) Work Stages for building projects.
Additional Desirable Skills:
● Visualization Skills: Proficiency in 3D modelling and rendering software like SketchUp or Enscape for creating visuals.
● Site Visit Experience: Experience on construction sites can be a plus.
● A proactive and Enthusiastic Attitude, and a willingness to contribute to wider practice groups and activities.
● Retail or fitout project experience would be beneficial
