Role Overview
To lead the maintenance and engineering functions across our fermentation and processing facility, reporting into the Head of Manufacturing Technology. You will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of all plant equipment and utilities, coordinating planned and reactive maintenance, managing contractors and implementing a robust maintenance management system.
This is a hands-on role that requires mechanical and welding expertise, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to plan and deliver maintenance activities in a high-performing production environment.

- Supporting production operations to ensure equipment availability and performance targets are met.
- Maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and certifications.

The Role:
As a Maintenance Engineer, you’ll play a key role in ensuring smooth and efficient production across the site. Working within a dynamic engineering team, you’ll be responsible for:
- Carrying out both electrical and mechanical maintenance on a range of production equipment
- Diagnosing faults and resolving breakdowns quickly and effectively to minimise downtime
- Supporting continuous improvement (CI) and reliability projects
- Conducting planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and ensuring compliance with all safety and quality standards
About You:
We’re looking for a proactive and adaptable engineer who thrives in a fast-moving manufacturing setting. The ideal candidate will have:
- Proven multi-skilled experience across electrical and mechanical maintenance
- An NVQ Level 3 qualification or above in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or Multi-Skilled)
- Experience within an FMCG or similar manufacturing environment
- Strong problem-solving skills and a hands-on, team-focused attitude
