As a Maintenance Engineer based in Bolsover, you'll provide site-based engineering support to minimise downtime and ensure uptime, and availability of the installed automated equipment on site. Through a professional engineering approach and a commitment to service quality, you'll support the shift maintenance engineer Team by utilising a broad range of skills taking a proactive approach to improving performance and reliability, working on a on 4 off shift pattern (rotation of days/nights - 6am - 6pm 4 days / 4 days off / 6pm-6am 4 days).
Core duties for these varied and challenging maintenance engineering positions will include (but not be limited to):
- Carrying out PPM and corrective maintenance and repair of all onsite automated equipment.
- Conducting planned and reactive repairs of automated MHE including tote conveyors, spiral conveyors, sorters, shuttles and robotics.
- Fault-finding and diagnosis of mechanical and/or electrical faults.
- Responding to automation faults and breakdowns in a timely manner ensuring minimal downtime.
- Prioritising system faults and optimising uptime and availability of onsite automated equipment.
- Completing all reports in line with requirements using CMMS and Microsoft software packages.
- Complying with H&S legislation at all times.
- Participate in the delivery, installation, commissioning and testing of upgrades and enhancements as applicable.
To be considered for these exceptional opportunities you will have achieved a Recognised Engineering Apprenticeship, ONC or equivalent qualifications in a relevant engineering discipline (multiskilled preferable) and be able to demonstrate at least 3 years previous experience of working with automated material handling systems - ideally gained in an automated warehousing and distribution centre environment and with the ability to work safely at height. You will be capable of understanding Mechanical, Electrical and/or Electronic technical manuals and drawings with excellent communication and interpersonal skills at all levels.

Electrical Engineer Primary Purpose of the Role
You will be responsible for working in a clean automated environment during an exciting growth phase for the company.
As a key member of the Maintenance team, you will ensure the smooth operation of the factory in a safe and effective manner in addition to following the health and safety advice and guidance as instructed.

Key Accountabilities
- Maintain all materials handling equipment and ensure an efficient operation of the Building Management System
- Ensure "maintenance only" areas within the warehouse and other plant and equipment remain clean and to ensure the maintenance stores and workshop areas are kept clean and tidy
- To take delivery of maintenance spares and equipment as required, locating in stores or maintenance workshop
- Ensure a flexible and common-sense approach to Health and Safety - notifying Team Managers and/or other staff members of any type of hazard which can be dealt with by the post holder; ensure the safety of others working within the areas of the warehouse
- Assist in the completion and review of risk assessments for the department
- Undertake regular health & safety inspections with the Site Management Team
- Promote and participate in Fun, Fair and rewarding activities within your department or on site
- Participate in and encourage idea generation to benefit departments through STPs in line with Target Zero
Competencies
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work to tight deadlines and/or under pressure

Qualifications/Experience -
Experience of working within a similar role (FMCG, Food Manufacturing, Waste to recycling, Baggage Handling, Automated warehousing)
A proven ability to communicate effectively at all levels
Experience of working within a high-pressured environment
NVQ level 3 or equivalent in engineering (electrical or mechanical)
Specific Skills/Knowledge Essential Desirable
Ability to prioritise and manage own workload
Ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a team

Are you an experienced Electrical Engineer looking to join a small, dedicated maintenance team at a leading manufacturing company.
This is a well-established UK manufacturer, supplying customers across multiple industries nationwide and in Europe. Operating from a modern facility with advanced, automated machinery, and maintaining a strong focus on quality, innovation, and reliability, it continues to invest in technology, capacity, and staff development to support ongoing growth.
Within the role you will be reporting to the Head of Maintenance and play a key role in maintaining electrical equipment on site. This is a hands-on role requiring expertise in planned preventative, reactive maintenance and fault finding.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Electrical Maintenance, ideally have knowledge of PLC's and live a commutable distance from Buxton.
The Role:
- Conduct electrical preventative maintenance, reactive repairs, fault finding as required. Assist with installs/commissioning of new machinery, support root cause analysis/continuous improvement initiatives to help reduce equipment downtime
- Days based role
- Company benefits: 28 days' holiday (rising to 30 after 6 months), then an extra day each year from 2 years' service, up to a maximum of 35 days. Pension 3%, rising to 4.5% after 6 months probation and to 6% after 12 months service

Salary: £37,000 - £8,000
Hours: Regular Days, Monday to Thursday, 6am – 4pm
Location: Chesterfield
About the Role:
We are recruiting for an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join our client’s team in Chesterfield. This is a fantastic opportunity to work a 4-day week on regular day shifts, giving you long weekends every week. You’ll be responsible for maintaining and improving production machinery through both planned and reactive maintenance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Electrical fault finding, repair, and maintenance across a range of equipment.
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance to reduce downtime.
- Respond quickly to breakdowns to keep production running smoothly.
- Work alongside the production and engineering teams to drive reliability and efficiency.
- Ensure all work is carried out safely and accurately recorded.
What We’re Looking For:
- Time-served or qualified Electrical Engineer (NVQ / City & Guilds / HNC or equivalent).
- Previous maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Strong electrical fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of PLCs is advantageous but not essential.

At their site in Sheffield they are requiring a skilled Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join their dynamic and hardworking team on a permanent basis.
THE ROLE:
The main tasks and responsibilities include:
Accountability for all electrical, electronic, and process control work (planned / breakdown) occurring on the plant.
Providing first line maintenance/breakdown rectification resource, performing hands-on engineering expertise to deal with the problems safely and effectively, including internal and external plant lighting site wide.
Managing electrical engineering activities on shift to comply with all internal and external health, safety and environmental requirements, specifically including the Permit to Work System, High Voltage Safety Rules (EIS5) and Isolation and Immobilisation procedures.
Carrying out electrical Installation work as required in accordance with BS7671 Wiring Regulations 18th Edition.
Assisting with the planning of shift activities where particular expertise is required.
Carrying out and supporting continuous improvement activities when necessary.
Providing relevant information and reports of plant breakdowns to assist in the completion of Single Event Analysis (SEA) and acting as a member of the team assisting in the implementation of actions to prevent re-occurrences where applicable.
Ensuring accurate recording within SAP of information relating to engineering issues on shift.
Working on, or assisting with, work on mechanical systems.
Leading, coaching and developing other employees, in particular the Electrical Apprentices.
For this position of Electrical Maintenance Engineer your working hours working 4 on 4 off working days and nights this is a 6 til 6 shift.
THE CANDIDATE:
Required:
Driven to work in a demanding and challenging environment.
Educated to an HNC level or have proven electrical experience in a large steelmaking environment.
Be able to demonstrate an awareness of a melting shop environment.
Able to demonstrate a high level of practical Mechanical / Electrical hands-on skills.
Able to lead, coach and develop other employees.
Able to demonstrate a good knowledge of continuous improvement programmes, particularly planned maintenance activities.
A good communicator, both verbal & written.
Able to demonstrate good planning skills and problem-solving abilities.
Able to demonstrate a good working knowledge of the health and safety and environmental policies and plans.
